1. How cool is that? To follow up like that really shows he wants you to be a better rider. That personal touch is what is missing in most business transactions nowadays. But I guess when you're getting paid to ride motorcycles all day you gotta love your job. Kudos to Jerry! Now I really want to take that course:clap2:
2. I can't get more than one pic to load at a time????? Anyway here's the new TB
3. Finally on to cosmetics for the new Garage. It should be sided by weeks end, overhead doors in a couple weeks and powered up mid March. I've needed this for a long time as you can see from the pic of the old toy box more like a tool box with a Toy in it. I'm keeping the existing 12x16 shed and the new one is 24x28 with 11' ceilings. 4. Looks like it grew there. Would there be any mods if you had full size passing lamps? Looks like it might be tight
5. I'm gonna check if n when he may be further north. Just curious how much is it $$$??? If you don't mind me asking
6. . I would love to take his course. I bought "Ride Like a Pro" on DVD as soon as I got my RSV and practiced a lot, now I'm pretty confident on it but 1 on 1 lessons would be sweet!
7. The suspense was killing me! Great trike!! Congrats:banana:
8. And a big wide seat! I could do some miles on a Raider but I don't think I could on a Fury
9. My brother was looking for a bike last year and really considered a Fury I think it was the Interstate version. He decided the seat was too narrow and hard ( split the boys) so he ended up with a Road Star and he's very happy with it
10. If you like BBQ there is a place called Fat Buddy's they have 2 locations one in Waynesville and one in Franklin NC the only downside is its hard to ride after eating there:fatsmiley:
11. That's funny:rotf: I'm having a little Jack myself right now! And if I see you at the IR I'll have you some frogs
12. Yepper! There is only 1 other bike I would consider and being the cheapskate I am I'd end up with another RSV. There are more Technologically advanced bikes and My fingers are crossed for a updated version of the RSV. That being said...Power, comfort, reliability, and style. What more could you want? And VR... Bonus!!
13. Nothing funner than spending other people's money:mo money:
14. +1 on the Cherohala Skyway, BPW, and there is a " Waterfall loop" in NC I think rt. 64 ?? Several waterfalls to see
15. If you are into taking your time there are many great loops to take in that area. I usually satellite out of Maggie Valley and take day rides in whatever direction. Definitely some of the best riding in the country. I personally would get off the four lane and see the area. My
16. Are you planning to ride it in one day? If not I live in central OH and am heading out on Sat. Morn. The route Rick posted goes right by where I live. Would be glad for you to throw in the group. Let me know. You would make 5 bikes in the crew and the third West Virginian :Venture::Venture:
17. I met a couple guys last summer who were both on C50's and they had been all over the country on them. They both rode 2up w/ luggage. I was impressed. What kind of mpg did you get? Were there any common issues mechanically with it?
18. That'll be my excuse:fatsmiley: Wrong shampoo. True story. I took a shower at a friends house in WV and his wife had shampoo called "Big Sexy Hair" that was the brand. When I came out I told them I had made a mistake and thought the shampoo was body wash, and that. I couldn't even get my shorts back on! But I had to confess it was Sexy:rotf:
19. No not women in particular, couples that ride. The women I know that ride are single or just do so by themselves. Most couples I travel with either the wife doesn't ride or is on back
20. Thanks for all the great input! Surprised there are so many out there. You just don't see it too often on the trail. I'll keep updating the progress w/pics. I know the rules:thumbsup2:
21. Yea we looked at the S50 but the tank is too small. The C50T comes well equipped I think it's a better bike than the C90 . I think she wants to get a used one to start so it'll probably come down to the best deal. But the Suzuki is one that she's got her eye on
22. I wish they still made the Virago, great bike. The closest I ever came was a Maxim 700 think it was a 85-86 that was light and easy
23. Definitely gonna take the rider course I may even do it with her
24. We've been looking and the Yamaha vstar custom fits her real well. 650 or 1100 I just want her to get something she won't outgrow overnight but still a good beginner bike. I am coming to the IR cant wait!
25. I finally got her to ride a few years ago and she got hooked. Absolutely loves it, so much in fact, she has been looking for one for herself. I'm very exited for her because I know what riding means to me, but at the same time I'm nervous to watch her as a beginner. Not because she is a female but because I'm her husband, protector, you know. I was the same way watching my little brother start riding. I'm just wondering how many couples here both ride?? Any issues with that besides doubling the $ ..
