5. Hey Willy where's Lucky??
6. Ok.... Seriously?? Do you really think HD guys would come on a predominantly Yamaha site and post problems?? Are they suicidal?? I've rode with Harley's that ended up at the shop, and Goldwings , and myself on a RSV. If you put miles on them they will need maintenance and or repairs.
7. I've never seen him live but on my top 5 favorite artists. Glad you got to see him
8. It's a Hawk for sure as others have pointed out Eagles are much darker and Ospreys and Falcons are sleeker. Either way the cat had it coming:rotf:
9. All my extended family is around circleville and I lived there for a while. You gotta come to the central Ohio M&E or if you can't make it PM me and we'll meet up at Roosters or Gibbys sometime. Red Ventures must stick together
10. This is the rod that got horseshoed when it let go
11. This is what I ran into see how far the nut is away from the rod cap
12. Wow!! I'm suspecting something pretty serious I second draining oil and looking for metal
13. You can also remove spark plugs and put the bike in gear and rock it forward
14. Have you tried to manually turn the engine? Was it running fine then quit?? I originally bought my bike with a "seized motor" I figured it was something stupid but turned out the factory never torqued the connecting rods to the crankshaft. One completely came of and detonated the motor, and the other rod bolts you could spin off with your fingers. So I swapped the engine for an 07 with 1700 miles now going on 30,000 no problems. There was a sensor on mine that went into the center of the oil pan. It's kind of a fat cylinder and when I pulled that a bunch of metal fell out and that told me all I needed to know, maybe if it won't spin manually try pulling that sensor. If you are in this deep I hope you have a service manual you will need it. Good luck! If you need any advise my number is in my profile and I always have that phone on me
15. Youth and horsepower are no match for experience and a ratty looking sleeper..
16. Glad you only suffered healable wounds! I hope you are back in riding shape soon
17. Please express our condolences to the family on this tragic occasion. I really don't know what else to say, nothing can really take away the pain except for time and knowing she is in Gods memory.
18. I'm confused is that the 2014 Venture?? Seriously funny though. I really need a ride also. I have a major remodel project going on and have zero time. I bought a lot of accessories over the winter and no time to put them on. Ain't it a darn shame. Maybe by July I'll be dug out of the hole I've created. I did get to run a jackhammer for a couple weekends so I feel like I took a long test ride on a HD:rotf:
19. Great looking Bling!! What kind/brand of accent lights do you have? Hope your back in riding shape real soon
20. Myself, the wife, and Scarlet. Great thread my first time through
21. My condolences, Dan to you and your family. Much too young
22. The Voyager is a great looking bike but I know someone who has one and is not happy with it. Bad mileage even with a 6 th gear, says the gear ratios are not matched well. That said they are giving the new ones away, check EBay. That kinda makes me wonder why so cheap?? The Venture is a very comfy ride, decent mileage even with a five speed, and IMHO a better built machine. Venture has its downsides also if I could afford to buy new I would probably skip the Venture because of carbs, cassette, 5speed, and no ABS. So... That said... Buying new I'd skip both but used at a good price I'm your Huckleberry.
23. If Don could make a comfortable living running this site I wouldn't begrudge him that. We should all be so lucky to have a job where we can do something we love and hang out with friends. Me, I'm still looking:fingers-crossed-emo
24. I just checked your profile and see you have a Red 2000.. Dave Wells and Myself also have 2000 Red RSV's... It's destiny
25. What you need is a meet with friends:thumbsup2:... Check the calendar on May 4 Saturday there is a central Ohio M&E south of Canal Winchester... I've been through the Big D also definitely can relate. Come on out, go for a ride, your ex would hate it and that's gotta be reason enough:whistling:
