1. A few good revs should clear the pipes:whistling:
2. I don't understand why the Vulcan Voyager isn't holding its value better. They are giving the new ones away. I've talked to a couple guys who own them and haven't heard a cross word about them except that the gear ratios are not matched well. I have not ridden one but cosmetically it is one of the best looking new bikes and I love the design on the frame mounted fairing. There are some good deals on Victorys out there. Last year a dealer had a demo model Cross Country (not the Tourer with the trunk) it was still new never titled with 700 miles and he offered it to me for $11,900.00 and you can add a quick release trunk for probably another grand or so. It was tempting but I couldn't get permission. The Goldwing is a great bike and handles great but I hate the foot position. If you are under six foot it may work for you.
3. :rotf:
4. My Birthday is July 28th..... DON'T GET ME ANYTHING:whistling:
5. I'm digging the silver! And the sterio! Yammer Dan will be disappointed there are no pics of it doing a wheelie
6. That has to be worth $12 alone. This is one of the most active forums with people who know what they are talking about. Real solid advise and info.
7. It is a 130/70/18 Bridgestone what came stock on the Roadliner. The tire is decent so I'll run it a few months then probably put an Avon on it. As for the price I'd hate to tell you. It was less than half what most Fleabayers are asking and that's with a tire and rotors. Thanks for the Kudos!
8. Here it is
9. Just bring a bar of soap I hear tell there is a pond.
10. That's gotta make you sick:doh:
11. I got a new phone that I took the pic with and none of the pics from this phone will upload?? All my other pics will?? Must be a file type that is non compatable. I'll take some with the iPad tomorrow and post them:sign13:
12. Well I found a screamin deal on a Roadliner wheel with a decent tire and real good rotors. I put it on yesterday and could not be more pleased with the results. Really improves the handling in the curves and makes the bike look stellar. This site is Sweet!! So many great ideas! I feel like I got a brand new bike:big-grin-emoticon:
13. Iron Pony in Columbus OH . They have a big service dept that is first come first serve you can make an appt. but if I get there right when they open usually out in an hour. I've done the math before but what they charge will not pay my time and fuel in the truck to take it up there. Plus they are usually done with the bike before I'm done looking through the store.

My HF

Did you have it loaded? I've been considering a trailer but I ride a lot of twisty roads just curious how much I would have to tone down my aggressiveness in the curves
15. Congrats!! :dancefool: I thought I was in for sure.... You seem to be much more deserving and gracious than I..... Looking forward to meeting you
16. I hope to make it up that way around first part of September. I'm looking forward to your pics
17. I tried one out on a demo ride with a friend and he traded his BMW for a CCT. If I didn't have a major construction project going I'd have bought it on the spot. I love my Venture but the CCT is advanced in every way that yamaha and HD should be. Feature for feature I think it's the benchmark for touring at this point.
18. This guy explains the cam issue very well. There are a series of vids 1-5 I suggest watching them all. It's an education. [ame] [/ame]
19. I have a ridin the newer Harley's and would agree on the lighter handling plus fuel injection a sixth gear is very nice. If you haven't tried a Victory goto a demo day close to you. You will be impressed. For my money if I could afford new the Victory Cross Country Tourer would be first choice and a close second would be a Harley Roadglide Ultra. That is until Yamaha releases the new 160 hp Venture:stirthepot:
20. Deep fried amphibious deliciousness
21. I love frog legs:fatsmiley: too bad I'll miss it
22. Pulling the motor isn't too big a deal. Now would be a good time to upgrade the valve springs and I think Vmax cams?? Heads ported?? Have a sleeper on your hands:whistling: if my original motor was rebuildable that's what I would have done to it
23. My buddy just went through this on a Triumph. Batt voltage looked fine and externals looked fine. He took batt leads of and they were corroded as all h3!!. A quick clean and back on the road. Hopefully you get so lucky
24. you can also take the leads off the batt and clean them. They may look ok but be crusted below. Or even a charge with a good voltage gauge. Definitely sounds like a voltage/ batt problem
25. That pickup would look great parked next to my Red Venture. Only Harley's like to ride in trucks
