anyone have the J tool for changing out shims on the xvz? my xvz is torn down and I'm tired of trying to make a homemade one work:rotf:. borrow or buy would be fine. Also, I will have a supply of the more popular shim sizes when I'm done if anyone needs some.

Ever heard the old saying, "the more you dig, the deeper the hole gets"? I just wanted to do the regular winter go over to get my 92 Venture ready for spring. You know, change plugs, grips, rear tire... the fun stuff. Then I decided to replace the valve cover gaskets. Of coarse then you have to check the valves while you're in there, right? Now I need shims and something to compress the buckets. Anyone have a kit to loan? I would of coarse add some more new shims to the pot and return the kit promptly.

Anyone have a good rear master brake cylinder? My 92 xvz13d has a pitted one and the pedal will drop out after a couple days riding. Sorry about the repeated message. This is the first time I've done a forum or thread and i have no idea what i'm doing! Pete

Anyone have a rear master brake cylinder? I bled the brakes on my first gen. Foot brake works great for a few days, then pedal will push all the way down - no resistance, no brakes. I pulled the master cyl apart and it is pitted. Anyone have any suggestions? Looks like it is obsolete. Didn't see one on ebay either. Thanks, Pete
