  1. Witches Weekend at Indian Lake. 5 witches, 4 brooms We are planning on going Saturday.
  2. :thumbsup2: That is one sharp ride!
  3. Agreed! And.......they were fun to talk with... I just told him to incorporate some witch brooms and I would defer to his expertise and do as he saw fit. Love it!
  4. I agree!
  5. Adorable!
  6. First off, I'm not a detail person. Mainly, it's a hobby. If I can't afford it, I'll sell it. I have a 2003 Impala I drive daily - hauls more, gets about 28-30 mpg (according to the onboard computer) if I keep it around 65 on a trip, very comfortable. Fun factor = 0 1967 Ford F100 - hauls a lot, about 10 mpg no matter how fast or slow I drive because of the Mustang GT engine and other goodies, very comfortable. Fun factor = 9 (on a 10 point scale) I checked the mileage once and never did it again because....if I can't afford it, I'll sell it. 1999 RSV with sidecar - hauls enough, gets between 25 and 35 mpg depending on cargo and speed (more mpg when I drive, less when he drives), driver's seat somewhat comfortable, hack seat very comfortable. Fun factor = 12 I've checked the mileage on the last 3 trips and won't bother again. My brother does all the maintenance and work on the cars and trucks for free. The bike costs me more at this point to maintain....and every time I read something on this site I add to that darn "want" list. Haven't found a metric mechanic in the area, but some other friends have worked on the Broom for very reasonable prices. I always admire folks that keep detailed records. I know it's nice to have when buying used vehicles. Whoever buys my stuff......will just have to use their imagination
  7. Thank you Don and Eileen for a wonderful event. This was our first MD and it was great time because of all the wonderful, kind and funny folks we met. Had a blast and really appreciate all the help with the Broom.
  8. Had to get mine done after seeing a bike like mine getting painted. I am one happy witch! I just washed the Broom, and was scared I might wash it off. All is well. No wax for 30 days. Lousy picture....but you get the idea:thumbsup2: And a big THANK YOU to Don and everyone who make this such a great event!
  9. same here
  10. I just push my sunglasses on my head and smile......no one looks at your hair when you're smiling ..........and then I avoid the mirrors because I know how scary I look. Naturally curly hair straightened by the helmet is scary, very scary.
  11. Just smile and wave!
  12. :happy65:THANK YOU! This list really helps answer the questions I have about this event. Looking forward to this weekend!
  13. You just never know what you'll find on this site!
  14. Mine is the avatar This is his FLHTruckster
  15. 16,250..........and I bought it last year with 15,000 A ways to go, but I'm trying to reach the 100,000 mark so it matches my other vehicles
  16. I'm headed to Erie with friends on Sunday. I'll be just down the road from you at Indian Lake over Memorial Day weekend. Not sure how much riding we'll do.....always a "to do" list at my parent's house. Have fun! Mary Jo
  17. QUOTE=Wanderer;681896]I can not right now, but I think I would like to sidecar soon. I like trikes, but there is just something about a sidecar that gets me all goose pimply. My question is: Where do I start? I too know I'll have to save up. Thanks Everybody smiles when they see a sidecar forum at www.sidecar.com Listed for AL Cycles Unlimited Ray Metzger 902 Beltline Road SW Decatur,AL 35601 Phone: 800-772-9054 Fax: 256-355-1492 Sidecar Name: Cozy Hand's Performance 1662 Saragossa Rd Jasper, AL 35501 205-221-3802 Sidecar Name: Cozy Ken’s Kustom Cycles 10701 Highway 160 Hayden,AL 35079 Phone: 800-279-9464 Fax: 205-647-1717 Sidecar Name: California St.Clair Cycle & Lawn 1404 Martin Street S. 18. I decided to have this modification because no one ever reported going back to stock. This is my first bike and while I wouldn't know the difference between modified trees or not when driving, I did read up quite a bit on the topic via the sidecar.com forum. The boyfriend drove the maiden voyage, and 15 miles into the trip said "You are gonna love this!" The next day I spent an hour on every twisty road in the area and could not believe the difference. I've spent the last two weekends riding around and the best part is not feeling beat up at the end of the day. Love my Broom:bighug: Mary Jo
  19. I bought a Steerite modified triple tree for my 99 RSV from Side Effects www.sidecars.ca Why did I choose this company? Customer service and a great product! Father/son team of Peter and Brock Smith are fantastic. Every email and phone call has been promptly and thoroughly answered, and they also gave me added information to help with the sidecar set-up. They even offered to call and talk me through the alignment process. The mechanic who did the work for me also stated that they were very helpful when he called. They had the triple trees in stock. You just send back the old one when you have the new installed. To say this has made a difference in steering my rig is an understatement. They tell you it's like adding power steering, and it is amazing. About 175 miles last Sunday throught twisty country roads and it was great! I know there aren't many folks here with sidecar rigs, but they also do work for trikes, too. (and if we aren't allowed to endorse a product, moderator, please delete )
  20. What a great idea! This is why I dislike this site. Every time I read a thread, one more thing goes on my Want List! I've had a 67 Ford Truck (restored) for 14 years and all I've done is add a/c (thanks to my brother) It runs great, looks great and all it needs is regular maintence and premium gasoline. I've had this bike for only a year and changed the pipes, re-worked the seat, modified triple trees, bag bolts, luggage liners and still have lots on the list. Thanks everyone:cool10: And I mean sincerely, thank you! I'm having a blast with The Broom!
  21. camera, sunscreen, chapstick, ear plugs, extra sunglasses, water, rain suit, doo rag, owner's and insurance cards, roll of paper towel, window cleaner If I'm on a trip - extra clothes no parts because I wouldn't know how to fix anything
  22. http://www.vertex42.com/WordTemplates/bill-of-sale-template.html http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/motor-vehicle-bill-of-sale-TC006090474.aspx free - online - with most of the information that LilBeaver lists
  23. If you want to make a bill of sale, there are templates on Microsoft Word (I used it when I bought my bike) and probably other places on the internet. I've given bills of sale that were hand-written on scraps of paper and used the template. It doesn't really matter as long as both parties agree. There may be information on your state's DMV site. In PA there is "no warranty" when selling a used vehicle by an individual.

    New to Me

Lots of information and manuals to download on this site http://www.sidecar.com/ Lots of folks don't have reverse on sidecars. I plan where I park and gravity is my friend. and you'll have fun!
