  1. Would someone please tell me the closest hotel to Don's? We stayed at the Oberlin last time, but that doesn't seem to be an option this time. Looks like folks are staying at several different places. Thanks for the help! MJ
  2. Or any other hotels that are closer?
  3. and check out http://www.sidecar.com lots of information on many different set-ups. I love my rig, rides nice without a passenger, or with one in the sidecar and one behind. Smiling all the way
  4. Most often asked question: Does it have reverse? My answer: Yes, left and right foot.
  5. Nice to meet you both. Safe travels!
  6. female to stay at Bens Nichols Brook Hotel and survive to tell the tale......... For Kim, Linda and Cathy - I took some photos of the interior as we were packing to leave. It was neat and clean when we arrived. Old place. A/C worked, some free ice when the office was open, mini fridge and microwave, didn't hear the road noise and best of all, REALLY CLOSE to Pioneer. Enjoyed talking and laughing with you ladies, and everyone else!
  7. Thanks and Nice Work!
  8. At Matt's, then an hour ride and I'll be home. Thanks to Big Tom and crew for a great rally and all the work that goes into planning such an event. We really enjoyed the hospitality and the activities. Really nice to meet and chat with folks. (we were still spotting items for the scavenger hunt on the way home) Stopped in Mt. Jewett on the way home and thought of Tom.......
  9. Planned on leaving at 11 am......guessing we should pull out at 1:30 pm Doesn't matter because it's VACATION!:cool10:
  10. The Sidecar National Rally is June 25-26-27, 2015 at Elkview Campground 5 miles east of Sturgis, South Dakota. Have it then and it would be a twofer for me Already trying to convince the boyfriend it's a great idea for next year.

    The Witches

There hasn't been a post in this section for a long time, so I thought I'd add one. Not sure how many ladies on here ride their own bike. I have two good friends that ride, and we try to get together every Friday for a Witches Ride. We call ourselves the Wicked Witches of the North, because we live North of a bar called Wicked Witches. That's another story....... Anyhow, they have Fridays off in the summer and I'm a teacher, so all good. Here is a photo from two weeks ago. My 16 and 17 year old nieces came along. They were dubbed "Witches in Training" Think we did about 125 miles that day. Not bad for a first outing for the nieces. Last week we went to Pittsburgh, just about 75 miles round trip, to an area called the Strip District. Lots of shopping! Trunk came in handy for seafood, veggies, some shirts and jewelry. Busy area of town. I can't parallel park my car this good!
  14. I run a car tire on the rear.........but I have a sidecar. My mechanic did the change for me, but if it wasn't on a sidecar, he said he wouldn't inspect it. Read the information on http://mcdarksiders.forumotion.com/
  15. Sorry for your loss.
  16. And read the policy - I can't use mine for every day like going to work and such in order to get antique insurance - but I insure a 67 Ford F100 and 62 Pontiac Tempest Lemans for $175 a year
  17. and the turn signals make sense ;-) I'm the only one of my friends that doesn't own a HD - didn't like it with the sidecar - and I like sidecars - so I went back to the RSV
  18. Nice looking ride! I like how the trunk opens compared to the RSV - and the seat is instant comfy - from my limited experience (600 miles) of owning an Ultra.
  19. Thanks for the updates! Sounds like fun and the nieces are always asking to go for a ride. Quite a few in PA. After reading the rules, all I have to do is show up at a stop and they give you the passport to complete the stops, correct? Mary Jo
  20. I bought a small sheepskin rug at IKEA - about $30 Like it just fine
  21. I've had this happen and it was the heating element. Can be found online and it was less than $30. I ordered 2 so I was ready the next time. Also can be found at the local pool/spa store.
  22. Hope everything works out.
