    im out of town and don't have my laptop for pics, but I mounted mine up front..on the side of the radiator cover. it gets plenty of unobstructed air. I took it completely out of the old wiring harness, and direct wired it.

    but mapquest doesn't let you do a detailed trip, just shortest distance. I mean, on mapquest you can, but the minute you load it to garmin...just shortest distance. I tried a million times, or, you have to add a bunch of waypoints. garmin has a tool called basecamp, still cant figure it out! see ya, florida bound! (with old style maps and highlighter)

    miles, how many miles did you put on Tenere? please do a write up! I looked at a 2013 last week, in white...didn't like the red stripes, but, dealer only gets one, so I couldn't demo it like I need to.

    yes! check with Touratech. they have electronic cradles/mounts, easy to remove unit, while leaving cradle hardwired!

    I went thru 2 new stators and r/r's from Skydoc...within 400 miles of each other...bummer. I switched to Hot Shot and Shindigen..done! no problems since. BTW, not Earls fault.

    ive had the Icon before, they are mandatory on military installations. definitely try one on first, they run a little small. plus, they have an ID holder.

    an antenna hole cut thru the roof? wonder if it was satellite radio.....one of those "shark fin" types? I have satellite, but the antenna mounts to windshield....

    I don't think they stopped making them, I just saw a 250 new at a dealer, then I think the next size up was a cb500.
