    OK, FIRST OF ALL, THANKS EARL AND KARL. I REALLY APRRECIATE YOUR HELP. I RECIEVED THE FUSE BLOCK KIT, AND INSTALLED IT PER DIRECTIONS. I HAD ONLY ONE QUESTION, AND EARL WALKED ME THRU IT OVER THE PHONE. THANKS AGAIN! I FELT SO INSPIRED, THAT I REMOVED THE CMU TO SEE IF I HAD BROKEN SOLDER JOINTS. MAYBE THATS WHY I HAD NO TAILLIGHTS. YEP, SURE DID! I RESOLDERED THOSE AND VOILA!!, TAILLIGHTS!. THEN, AS I WAS RIDING TODAY, MY TACH KEPT DROPPING TO ZERO, BIKE SPUTTERS, THAT BACK TO NORMAL. CHECK OUT SOME THREADS, AND DECIDED TO CHECK OUT STATOR WIRING. HOLY CRAP! TALK ABOUT A MESS! SO I REPAIRED THE ENDS WITH WATERPROOF BUTT CONNECTORS, NO MORE SPUTTER. THIS SIGHT IS AWESOME!!:cool10:

    new mk1 rider here. i also found out this bike does not like 3rd gear at 30-35mph. i live on the beach where most of the speed limits are 30. definately 2nd gear!

    OK GUYS, FIRST I WANT TO THANK EARL(SKYDOC) FOR A GREAT PRODUCT AND HIS SUPPORT OVER THE PHONE, AND KARLS S FOR HIS SUPPORT AND FRIENDSHIP TOO. IM A ROUGH CARPENTER, AND REALLY DONT HAVE MUCH ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE AT ALL. MAYBE CHANGING SOME LIGHTS AND CEILING FANS. SO I ORDERED THE FUSE KIT, OTHER THAN ONE SMALL ISSUE, I WENT IN LIKE A CHAMP! THE ISSUE WAS, WHAT DO I DO WITH THE SMALL RED WIRE?NOTHING, IT GOES IN THE TRASH. I HAVE A PIC. NEXT, SINCE MY CONFIDENCE WAS BRIMMING, I DECIDED TO TACKLE THE NO TAILLIGHT PROBLEM. I FOLLOWED THE ADVICE GIVEN HERE, REMOVED THE CMU, AND RESOLDERED THE JOINTS. VOILA!! WORKING TAILIGHTS! YOU GUYS ARE FREAKIN AWESOME!!:cool10: WHILE I WAS IN THERE, I REPLACED ALL THE DASH LIGHT BULBS ( 9 OF THEM #158) , AND CLEANED EVERY CONNECTION I COULD FIND. I INSTALLED LED TAILLIGHTS, LED TURSIGNAL W/50W 6 OHM RESISTORS MOUNTED TO FRAME. THANKS A MILLION. I CAN BE SEEN AGAIN!!

    used to hang out in monroe in high school. wasnt much happening then either. toledo has become kind of a ghost town recently. i would stick to the mom and pop places where you see a lot of cars. not really anything else around that area except Flat Rock. there is a cabela's in dundee!?

    um, excuse me. im a new member here, and i dont appreciate all the goofing around. some of us are here to try to find real answers to real problems! do you know where my keys are????

    well i did the epoxy repair. so far, all the sliders seem to be operating correctly. bike idles smoother, as has quit coughing. should be a temp fix till i can get the replacements. thanks for everyones help. next, fuse upgrade and led's.

    i believe im running on two cylinders. the carb diapragms just fell apart in pieces when i opened it. no holes in diapragm! do i epoxy the metal cap and black cylinder back together? i tried just cleaning and reassembling, but it just blows apart again. if so, is the small hole in the black cylinder supposed to go a certain direction? dont want to epoxy it together wrong. thanks.

    well, i found the tcu, under the batt box. how in the world do i get it out?! update: instead of removing it at this point (waiting till i get fuse box), i cleaned the contacts with 600 grit and contact cleaner. reassembling now.

    heres some pics. i bought it with the fuse block like this. looking at the upgrade, mines a mess! as you can see, running lights work....no taillights. i guess this will be a good thread for the "not so inclined" user. ill make sure to do a detailed installation of the new fuse block, when it comes, and anything else with the cpu. ive also changed the plugs, custom wires, aluminum reusable niche fuel filter, new water pump (ouch!..2 attempts to rebuild it were unsucessful), new seat cover and backrest, new brake pads (dp), cupholder, mp3 attachment, h.i.d., now led's. lots and lots of elbow grease. have a HUGE wish list of other items. its just a really cool bike. i love it!

    ok. so i bought the fuse kit. thanks for that. mine is all hacked together. how do i upload photos? its ask for a http file location.

    ok flyinfool, so your mod is so i can operate my hid and leds properly? and dingys mod is just to fix the taillight problem without leds? just basically resolder? i have led tails in now, and hid. so i definately need to do jumpers? but i leave the coils when i do jumpers? wow. im pretty sure i can do this, if im understanding everyone correctly.

    ok. cpu, jump reed switches? is there a write-up for that procedure? i plan on follow the wire all the way to cpu tomorrow. is the wire exposed and accessable through the headlight area? or do i need to romove the fairing? again. ugh. i guess its possible i damaged the wire in the dash area, because of the h.i.d. install and all its extra wiring i had to basically jam up into the headlight area. oops. did i say jam? i meant gently eased!
