  1. thanks a lot!!
  2. i think the sea foam is fouling out my plugs. i used the ngk's recommended by the manul. has anyone tried a different plug? in your opinion, which is best?
  3. i was thinking about a magnetic tank bag. i was going to mount three plates of metal to the underside of my false tank cover. but then, got to thinking, i remounted the tci to the air box. will the magnets mess with it? any thoughts? has anyone tried this?
  4. very cool. did hang-gliding one time at nags head. very scarily awesome! i will stick to my usual stuff: skydiving, scuba, mtb, camping, hiking, hunting, bodysurfing, and riding!
  5. these are what im going with. ships in 24hrs for about 20.00! look pretty bright too!http://store.ijdmtoy.com/12-LED-Daytime-Running-Light-DRL-Driving-Lamp-p/led_ddl_sku69.htm. and a 90 day warranty.
  6. thanks. the pump that you linked to is 42 gph, the airtex is 15-20. what would be a better choice?
  7. what are the recommendations for spare fuel pump? thinking about taking a trip. what other spare parts would you recommend?
  8. ok, so without getting into the brand too much, what are the recommendations for front tire size? which vendor? if theres a deal, i may get the rear. so which size rear also? should i change the front bearing with it? not sure if its ever been changed. 32k
  9. thats right! it was gary who showed me a pic of his setup....duh. thanks gary. progressives will probably be real soon. havnt had a chance to ride since my repair, but maybe tomorrow. its still holding air though, and ive sat on it a few times.
  10. i think that would betoo much. i will keep it simply as accents.
  11. according to manual it says 7-21 in front, and 7-85 rear for manual adjustments.
  12. if i send you mine and 4 cans of beer?????????? looks great!
  13. http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Glossy-Black-Carbon-Fiber-Sheets-Vinyl-Decal-p/ac-carbon-sheet-black.htm link to carbon fiber. its not real easy to work with, but it can be heated and stretched.
  14. here some pics after some of my latest nightmares (taillight issues, class). i used white gauge overlays and sheets of carbon fiber for a cool custom look!
  15. i had enough. decided to remove class. controller kept showing e4, no matter how many time i checked and resolder joints. no matter how many times i cleaned connections and checked wiring. no matter how many times i yelled at it. it just is junk. so off to the hardware stores i went! first, removed class compressor at 2 air line bolts. unhooked wiring, and junked it. then cut off old fittings. tapered air hose about 1/2 inch to get compression fittings on easier. cut off taper for clean look. used locktite 545 (hydraulic) to assemble fittings. did for both sides. i wasnt sure which was for which, so i put air in sloooowly. front of bike jumped into air and nearly scared me to death! set at 15psi. next rear( i only know its rear because of previous near-death experience). set at 52psi. im 220lbs. price of parts: $17.00 time took: 2 hrs(newbie, take it easy people) being able to cancel fitting for straight-jacket: priceless.
  16. i decided in the best interest of society, and my personal sanity, to take a 27oz california framing hammer to my class controller. didnt help! i remeber someone had a thread about removing the class and hooking up air valves under the passengers butt. any help???
  17. hot and sticky here in florida, but this morning, rain and a cool breeze. nice! well, except for riding...
  18. what are "rk" mufflers? i dont care for the look of macs, so i was thinking of universal jardine rt-1, in black.
  19. those look nice!!
  20. what years rad cover are interchangable? my 83vr cover is pitted all to heck, and weighs a ton!
  21. i custom built my specialized hardtail.

  23. around town, im rarely out of third. this is my first vr. love it. challenging electrically, but fun. it just comes alive around 4000 rpm. i ride 5500-6000 all the time. kills the mpgs a little but im going to get the different shims from skydoc. maybe pick up a couple more mpgs. have fun!
  24. the front end did lift up when i moved it around a bit. springs doing their job, i guess. have stock springs. should probably do the progressive springs. but after talking to skydoc, i want different forks to do the r1 brakes, and de link, and stainles, and, and, and ,and........ would be happy with just some air in the thing, so it doesnt bottom out. i looked at the frame closely last night. spent about an hour going over it and didnt see any cracks. southern bike, 32k. sat in a garage with 20 other bike projects for most of its life. the guy had this russian bike with sidecar. the sidecar had a drive axle. 2WD. pretty cool.
  25. before, with air in it, leaned a bit too much. high on the center stand. now, with no air, perfect! but its not what i need.
