  2. you might be able to take the crash bars that they are attached to, off. i know they come off, but im not sure you can get to them with the saddlebags on...
  3. this is where i got mine a year ago. still very clear, a little thicker and taller than stock. http://www.ebay.com/itm/200491954842?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649. it says slipstreamer on it.
  4. i just dropped it in the hole......
  5. im not sure. i kept mine in the stock location. i guess there are different places to put this r/r. i replaced my fuel pump with a 42S. and moved it a little higher, so the new r/r went back into its stock place.
  6. im 230, so im hopin it works out. i will keep your offer in mind...
  7. so i hear. but, the stock is killin me. the Corbin HAS to be an improvement.
  8. whew!! i took a chance on an ebay listing...it didnt say it was for a venture, but, it looked like the right seat. negotiated it for 150.00 plus shipping. its nice!! no rips, tears, scratches. the rear is much larger than the stock too. removable backrest, it also goes up and down. the backrest, that is.
  9. i went with HID, and considering Rigid Industries Dually 2x2 floods, low wattage, 2700 lumens. my 20.00 walmarts failed in a year.
  10. the white guages solved the speedo error on mine...so, a 130 isnt too skinny on the rear??
  11. do you think a 130 90 16 on rear is too skinny???
  12. na na! i made him a deal. its mine...all mine...my precious....
  13. i have to chime in...even after my bleeding issues (faulty master), im also impressed with my 83's stopping ability. i did the stainless upgrade, vmax splitter, delink, rebuilt rear caliper (thanks earl!) and HH pads all around on stock calipers. HUGE increase in stopping ability. its real nice feeling those front brakes again.... now if i could just get it out of the garage after a stator failure....i plan on riding to Freebirds. if all goes well, i will continue straight to Blue Ridge, then to florida keys....and back..
  14. i can stand up on mine......
  15. not me for sure! i will look into the cooling wire situation. it does have the cooling pieces installed. i noticed that with the first stator replacement. but, i will pull bolt out and check for wire. im going out of town tomoorow and wont be back till late sunday. i will post my findings monday. thanks for your help on this.
  16. he said you had to exercise the kill switch...so take it for a walk....ba ba bum....:rotf:more comic relief....
  17. upgraded both. stator and r/r, at same time.
  18. mine DOES have the cooling kit. i will check the small hole too, thanks.
  19. no idea! nothing was loose....the big, black blob is where the end of the windings were twisted together and pushed inbetween the coils. doubt that had anything to do with it though...
  20. i prefer backroads...doesnt RTE 2 go that way? i havnt looked at a map.
  21. mee too!!! i want mine to fire out of a Desert Eagle....with a werewolf load! but no initials....dont want THEM to find me...plus it could be traced back to you!
