The problem is, the new rear tire is the 150/90b15 and it is marked as 42 lb on the tire. Where I posted above, those numbers came from Avon web site. So something has changed with the tire. I used to run 46 rear, but will keep it at 42 now.

I noticed the same thing on my new rear Avon, 42 max. Boy did they change, here are the recommended pressures now, but load rating still the same. Hey, David, just how old are you anyway?? I hear through the grapevine you hit the big 50. Do you need a cane or walker or maybe even a step stool for you to climb on your Venture? HAPPY Birthday :rasberry:

Outcast called me but I was at work. I knew someone had the bearing numbers. Tried to call him back but no answer. Update: Just talked to Outcast, Kitty is about there with the trailer. Could not find anyone in Florence that had the bearings. He will call me if he any more issues arise, otherwise they will go on home tonight.

The bike is charcoal/raven, which the charcoal was the 08 color (all charcoal), first with the black on bottom. Like the color scheme, but not 20,000 worth.

No more Avon Venom AM41 (stock front)
Sleeperhawk replied to Mike G in SC's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Avon still has the front tire listed. So I am not sure why our dealer can't get them. -
Sorry about the ankle, but that should not keep you from having a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. You play it right and Charlene just has to baby and pamper you.

Venom rear mileage ?
Sleeperhawk replied to ragtop69gs's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have used both the Venom and E3. E3 definitely will get about 3 to 4 thousand more miles, but Venom to me holds better in curves (Mountain type roads with lots of tight curves). If you ride mainly straight type roads, E3 may be better as they have a harder type center rubber composite. Both work well in the rain. -
I sent pieces here, so far no flaking after 2 years. http://brownsplating.com/index.php

I had my annual heart check up today at the Columbia Heart Clinic, when the Mechanic came and said there was a 07 Blue and Black venture on a trailer in the parking lot with Florida tags. Don't know if it was someone here, but I can see why he was at the heart clinic if he is tailoring a venture. :rotf:

Time to discuss the 2013 International Rally
Sleeperhawk replied to Freebird's topic in Watering Hole
I am in agreement with this, south of the 45th parallel is just to hot, it needs to stay north. Also, there are a lot of regional M&E in the south, like Vogel next year in August. Then you have the St Jude ride in October to Memphis. The Texas Hill Country (Leakey ride) I believe is in April Don's Maintenance Day in June Ashville in August opposite year of Vogel (usually). Most of these are getting to be 3 to 4 day affairs. So I still vote for the International being North.- 101 replies

Fan usually comes on around 210 to 220 F. These bikes throw out a lot of heat.

Need a job? Retiring? Relocate Western Nebraska?
Sleeperhawk replied to Phoneman1981's topic in Watering Hole
Hey, why only 6 months of the year, I know I rode in November and latter part of February, kind of cold, but as long as the snow was in the ditch and off the roads, I road. Man, if they had my kind of job there it would be tempting. -

for my 08, $230 for tax and tags, goes down supposedly each year. my 11 pickup, $760, her 11 KIA, $680, so SC is not cheap for vehicles, but at least gas prices are cheaper than most parts of the country. :rotf:

Hey, we need pics of how the Triple looks on the RSV.

The last pic looks like it was trying to shed its skin.

If your not getting 14000 to 16000 on a rear E3, something is wrong. I ride aggressively and 2up most of the time. Still trying to make sense of your statement in quotes.
