  1. I thought you liked dirt, since you do leave 1st gen parts all over the rode
  2. Well, thought I at least take a few pics of a clean bike before MD. Last time up there, it rained and muggy and buggy, so I have proof now that I know what my bike looks like cleaned up with 42000 miles on it. :whistling:
  3. :sign yeah that:
  4. Well, lets just say, with all the "helpers", the bike may never be the same.
  5. Hey, Goose, I guess we can take all day and night now, putting Freebird's bike back together, no rush. :rotf:
  6. Okay, then we take over the Hostages, err mean Hosts and grill them.
  7. That was during daylight hours, not midnight hours. You must be getting old and forgetful. Now I will never forget that first MD Mechanic and I attended.
  8. Well, heck, I thought is was 24 hours from Thursday to Sunday. No wonder nobody worked on my bike during the midnight hours. Now you tell us after 5 years of having this shing ding.
  9. Now tell the truth, when the first bike shows up, usually Thursday. :rasberry:
  10. No I will be going up I77 (straight shot for us), but just maybe we will take the round about way home and come down I75. Just do not know at this time.
  11. From what I have seen, you are mostly right, but them pond monsters, now I have seen them guzzling the beer, and as long as they are guzzling the beer, you need not fear them.
  12. Thanks for leaving Wanderer crumbs, I know he will appreciate the food for his dog. Between the three of you, the dog is cuter, and I know first hand, that dog attracts the women. So be nice to Wanderer and maybe, just maybe he will bring his dog. :rotf:
  13. Same engine, same radiator, same driveline, same rear and front wheel, same whine, same grin
  14. Autozone - Bosch - 3323 here is a link about filters: http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/Filters.html#OilFilters "The way the Pure One achieves this filtering efficiency is by combining three different types of materials in their filter: paper like everyone else to catch the big stuff, and cellulose and fiberglass fibers to fill in the "large" holes in the paper with their much finer fibers. Filters like this are now made by Purolator, Hastings (marketed as AMS), and Champion (marketed as Mobil 1 and Bosch). Accordingly, the best oil filters are the Purolator Pure One, Mobil-1, AMSOil, and Bosch. If you use one of these filters with one of the commercial synthetic oils listed above, you have the best protection money can buy."
  15. Well, crap, shout now, a bunch will show now, even if it has to be moved to the highway. What did you do with all your ponies? No need to worry about the tractor, Eck took care of that machine last year.
  16. The one that is in Amherst is next to the Motel 6, which a lot of us stayed at in past years. There are bunch of us staying at Comfort Inn in Elyria. The distance is about the same to Freebirds.
  17. :sign yeah that:
  18. Are you going to be at MD, would like to try the seat out.
  19. Depends on what time Goose gets Freebird's bike back together on Friday. :rasberry: +2 for BBQ
  20. Oh boy, here is that MOD that just likes to stir up trouble. Me thinks he needs to hang out with the South Eastern group awhile to get his priorities in line. :cool10: Mechanic and I will be in Ohio sometime Thursday. Going to attend the Valve and Carb class.
  21. I guess that means if she is taking off, then the Mechanic needs not take any pictures while at MD :stirthepot:
  22. Just use the GL-5 and you will be fine.
  23. Unless someone put the Pillow Top seat on your MM, you had the harder seats that came with the MM and Midnight back then. Pillow Top is good but we actually want something firmer and it is definitely the butt bones that go numb, not my tail bone.
  24. I know somewhere buried in the all the posts about the valve issue are the gaskets needed. Freebird better make sure he has these parts, hate to see a bike spread all over and can't be put back together due to lack of gaskets By the way, is the valve clinic being done on Friday or Saturday? I want to be there when this happens and take some notes.
  25. Been in the South now since 94, and the humidity still sucks.
