  1. Sorry, forgot the link http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10518
  2. If you do not have the parts left over as shown in Freebird's picture, then the clutch mod was done incorrectly. Unless you decide to leave all as is, and just replace the OEM spring with the PCW spring.
  3. Well, that looks like the right parts left over and 1 and 2 were replaced with a full disc ? As the one thread states, try bleeding some clutch fluid.
  4. Absolutely sure you have all the pieces back in correctly? including the "plunger" with the ball in the center? Also, read this thread
  5. We will be there between 2 and 3. Told the Boss I made reservations at Pigeon Forge for our wedding anniversary, she said go :cool10:
  6. This question was asked and answered in this thread today. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52356 :confused24:
  7. Okay, we are going to be there now. :cool10: I guess I had to do something for "Our" wedding aniversary. Besides, Riderduke told us to get a room, so I got one. See Honey, I do what I am told.
  8. Welcome to the site. Oil plug is a 17mm under the bike, oil filter located to the front of bike, center behind the lower cowlings, but cowlings do not have to be removed. I use a oil filter wrench to loosen and spin off by hand. To fill, there is a cap to remove, when sitting on the bike, almost straight down by right leg. Filter I use is a Bosch 3323 bought at Autozone. 3.5 quarts of oil. Do a search and you will find lots of opinions on which oil. currently using shell T6 found at Wal-Mart or Autozone.
  9. Looks like Ride On or something similar was used and not cleaned off when new tires mounted.
  10. So where is lunch at :whistling:
  11. I love my Texas Gal, Happy Anniversay !!! Forever and ever xoxoxoxoxo
  12. Dave, the rear tire for 2nd gen has always been MV85B15 for the rear tire from Dunlop. Dunlop never used the 150/90-15 designation like other manufactures. I would never use the MT85/15, almost 100lbs less on load. I just looked at Motorcycle Superstore and they have the MV85B15 in stock. So do a lot of other websites.
  13. So after all that, you just want to be "Friends", correct?
  14. Well here is a link for a Valkerie, to me looks like a nice clean one http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2581
  15. Dang, I never get less than 15000 on the E3 and we are 90% two up and usually going between 70 and 80mph. Something is not set up right.
  16. Are these plug and play or a lot of wire splicing?
  17. I was okay with the shrimp, but grits go to go
  18. There were two issues with the Barnett install. 1. There was a little ball bearing that is part of the push rod, center of clutch, if you pulled this out and used lithium grease as recommended via the Yamaha service manual on page 4-51 and 4-52, you may have forgotten to put that back together properly as I did the first time. If I remember right, and it has been since winter of 07/08 that is what caused the clutch lever to act like there was no fluid. 2. The Barnett absolutely must be lined up properly and the Barnett instructions suck on this. You must rotate the Barnett on the bolts until lined up properly. Otherwise the clutch handle cannot be pulled in at all. I hit both issues with the Barnett. Hopefully someone can be more helpful.
  19. Hi Wayne and Brandy, welcome back. Can you two come out and ride now
  20. Guys (and Gals), if you are in a thread, your clicking on the wrong Search button to find threads about AIS (yes 3 characters can be used, no problem). Click on the Search button up in the bar between New Posts and Quick Links. In this Search box, is an option to do Google search. Be sure to change the selection from Web to the VentureRider Link. I use this option all the time unless I am looking for specific person's threads or posts. Unzip the file, you will see the drop down search box with AIS and this site selected.
  21. Found all kinds of threads with AIS. Be sure to use the Google Search option with this web site selected.
