WTB .. Anyone got a pair of Khromewerks muffs?
Sleeperhawk replied to SilvrT's topic in Watering Hole
To me, the Bubs are louder and tinner than the Khromewerks. Khromewerks have a more base sound to them. In fact, repacking my Khromewerks, have 90,000 on this set.- 16 replies

Starter relay?????
Sleeperhawk replied to rowdy7's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Check the battery cables at the battery, especially the negative one. A certain someone called me yesterday, same issue. They thought the cables were tight, but the negative one was a little loose. So while you are doing this, might as well brush the terminals and cables. -

Total BS, but then again, you did not mention if this was a car tire to be mounted or a tire that was not OEM size. There have been instances where dealers would refuse to mount these types of tires. But OEM size tires and not mounting them is BS.

Yes the game was great, Now if they could just have a decent singer singing the National Anthem correctly, get rid of commercials where guys are sucking other guys fingers and licking other guys pants, and maybe just maybe keep the whole production to 5 hours including game time, then maybe the Superbowl would be enjoyable again. But who really cares, it is just a game.

I must be lucky with my Zumo. Had it since 08, no issues, no lockups, screen always comes up, must be that 2cent glad bag I always have covering it up, not sexy but, no headaches yet with the Zumo.

Still would like to know why people are greasing the end that goes in the pumpkin, because the one time I pulled mine out, that end was totally oily from the rear end oil. So why mix the grease and oil together ??

2000 Yamaha Royal Star Boulevard
Sleeperhawk replied to BikerRSTD's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Not near the power of the venture. Really don't see the difference between a vulcan and boulevard, except two cylinders. But if I was looking at these types of bikes, then I would consider this too: http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=272203 -
Your friend's 05 has the factory heated seats and grips? I thought only the 06 and newer had the factory heated seats and grips.

Hey Mike When I was in Sumter, the mechanic told me about this bike. I said this is Mike's bike and told him who the original owner was. He said that "Da&&" car tire sucks. Never will he put one on his ventures. :rotf:

bias v/s radial

Here is a link to Avon's site, do not see any R, only V and H http://www.avon-tyres.co.uk/motorcycle/venom -
Citizen complains about a ridiculous speed sign
Sleeperhawk replied to Mike G in SC's topic in Videos
Hell, I am fine the 10 to 15, but the ones going 90 or better, need to be locked on and destroyed. -
Yes, it is very possible. Make sure it is in gear, put the tire back on (don't need the axle), and try turning the tire a revolution or two. If it spins with it in gear, you are not in the Ujoint. The tire will not spin if in gear and in ujoint. good luck.

bias v/s radial
Sleeperhawk replied to warriorhoneybee's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Haven't found any yet, unless a V means Radial. This is the rear tire where the V is 74 (827lb per load) and the H is 80 (992 lb per load). Since I am not riding faster than 130 mph, I will stick with the H (belted). -
Here is a thread to the lights I put on with the part numbers: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=251764#poststop So far all have said I am very well lit up.

bias v/s radial
Sleeperhawk replied to warriorhoneybee's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Avon does not make a tire in the RSV size, at least according to their website. Also, the load rating for the radial in a tire close to the same size was not even close to the non-radial venture tire. Dunlop E3 non-radial has a higher load rating too than the radials. For me, I will take the higher load rating any day.
