  1. Also, please read this thread. My history of the Barnett clutch upgrade. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=172372#poststop
  2. I had the same exact issue, would not move at all. Did what all said too do, bleed the clutch. Been there done that. And because I missed one little statement in the instructions that came with the Barnett clutch It states: 4) Note: When installing the Barnett pressure plate you may have to rotate pressure Plate to index into proper position. In other words, you have to rotate the plate until the clutch lever works.
  3. Now why did you have to give in to the one very loud member He was thinking outside the box, don't you know once assimilated by this group, no more thinking is aloud
  4. See #6 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=178526#poststop
  5. Our kids are okay in the Athens/Huntsville area, but most of the place is without power. Lots of damage, that can be replaced. Most places are out of batteries and sandwiches fixings.
  6. So what, heck out there, 300miles is nothing, 3 hours there and 3 hours back. :stirthepot:
  7. How many burnouts are you doing? Really, if you are getting that lousy of mileage on a Venom, then something is seriously wrong with riding habits, tire pressure (Venoms 46 to 48 rear, 42 front), or tire alignment.
  8. What did Charlie the Bear finally came out of hibernation :rotf:
  9. Talk like normal on a cell phone, in fact no yelling. I always have it set on AUX, because I use the Zumo xm and sd chip for music. When in CB mode, pretty sure I can still receive a call, in other words, have someone call you.
  10. Magnet holds it in place, but it does slide when going over major bumps. So, I got some velco, the small round dots (walmart), used four of them, no more sliding on bumps.
  11. Would be great seeing you, it has been awhile. Also, that tube actually runs along right side of the battery, does not go through the fender
  12. Wish I had a pic for you, but the vent tube runs up along side the battery on the right side as you sit on the bike.
  13. Ummm, you do not need to remove the trunk to lube the rear end, grease the splines and replace tire. But onto your problem, when is the last you synced the carbs, because my passenger will feel vibrations before I do. Usually syncing gets rid of the vibration. Another, when the rear wheel was replaced, was it balanced? and another, is your rear tire pressure correct? I know others will have ideas too.
  14. then you are not hanging around riderduke and I enough, maybe we need to let Kitty operate the machine more :rotf:
  15. Just go by the mph/kph as stated. Soon you will not need a tack. By the way, since you have an on 08, most likely the PO did not remove the rev limiter. Like some one said go into third gear and run it wide open, about 90mph all of sudden it will start missing, rev limiter kicked in.
  16. You know I went to Avons right after the brickstones wore out on the 05. The the E3 came out. At the time a lot cheaper with basically same tread design. But after serveral sets of E3 on the 05 and 08, and when being agressive in the curves, always felt like the bike was busting loose. I have gone back to the Avons this year and the busting loose sensation is gone. I am sticking with Avons. Also, I have had no issues with Avons cracking, shreading or any other type of failure. And now you can use a $50 coupon.
  17. I have an 08, and there is nothing like that. You sure some little pygmy is not messing with you ??
  18. The first time, I got that crazy answering machine too. Then called back, and a guy answered saying they were getting a trailer at Knoxsville
  19. I called, she has someone there that will be renting a trailer and bringing her to Sumter. Did not get a chance to talk with her.
  20. David give Laura a big hug from us. Really, if all she has is a bump on the head, she is one very lucky lady.
  21. Aww hell, I can't let this go by, even though Mini did. And the bottoms are no longer filled out :rotf:
  22. Actually, now a days, I am surprised a cop did not stop her and possibly talk about child endangerment from suffocation , dang what a nut job she must be.
  23. you mean she is going to live dangerously and ride that thing you call a bike? :rasberry: you must have gotten tired of her sleeping back on the RSV, she won't be on this one
  24. As usual there are the Khromewerks too. Just do a search on the site for Bubs, Barons, Khromewerks several threads and there are several u-tube videos here is mine http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17685
  25. Heck Home Made ice cream sounds great, but that is a lot of freezer space for 200 people. And dang there goes the excuse to ride to the 2 near by DQ's :crying: On second thought maybe not. :whistling:
