  1. Something you forgot how to do, that is why you were put out to pasture.
  2. Well, is Bubba going to show at Vogel this year. Missed seeing him at some of our rides. :crying:
  3. You actually riding a motorcycle instead of bringing a car this time :stirthepot:
  4. You can go to your dealer and see what they are asking for them. I bought mine from here and you have to buy the tips separately: http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?model_id=0&Category_ID=4&manufacturer_ID=245&product_ID=3634&sblid_name=Khrome_Werks___inch_HP_Plus_Exhaust___Venture__for_Yamaha_1300_Royal_Star_Venture_

  9. Crap, why did you even start this thread, now I have to run to the zone and get some clay and this out.
  10. It's been 30 years since I have been in the Panhandle, definitely miss the area. The last time there, first wife and I saw the first Superman movie in the downtown movie theater which had true balcony seating.
  11. Got to remember, he is out in the panhandle of Nebraska, takes a little longer to load pics. They still have Pony Express
  12. Ok found the receipt and here is the link http://www.mchitch.com/Wiring_Harness.htm. I will send you a pm too.
  13. If you don't see any bent areas, then check the end that the throttle on the grip and at the junction where the cruise control and carb cables meet. These have to be in the groove correctly.
  14. Condor There was a company that I bought a sub-harness from for the 5 wire and it had a 4 wire tail that you can plug in directly to the 5 wire subharness, all this done under the seat. I have all mine taped up. I just followed the instructions that came with harness. At the tail end is a 5 wire plug that either a 4 or 5 from a trailer can be used. By carrier that fits into the hitch is 5 wire, but I have pulled someone trailer that was 4 wire, so I plugged the converter under seat. If I can find the receipt I will post it later.
  15. There was another member a couple of years ago that the front tire went out. It was the valve stem gave out some how. It was not the tire.
  16. I did the Flanders on my RSV a few years back. I had the same issue with the throttle, I kept playing with the adjustments, but be sure the grip is all the way on too, and when you put the end weight on, the set screws should be the short ones unless you put in the color/chrome rings. These set screws if too long will slide the grip out causing some bind. I ended up getting the Barron end weights. As far as the clutch, I am fine were it engages, so I did not pay any attention to that.
  17. Well since you no longer need the cable, then I will take the Garmin 665 as you will not need that neither. Oh, I do not need the cable, already have a Buddy Rich cable.
  18. Hey Warrior, went to Avon site, they have changed the specs for air pressure. The older specs definitely used to be 50 max for rear and 42 max for the front. Just went and looked at the front tire, it says 2.9 bars at 42 psi cold max. So I do not why Avon is contradicting itself on their web site. http://www.avon-tyres.co.uk/motorbike/xvz-1300-royal-star-venture-classic-tour-deluxe Front tyres Venom Pressure front: 2.5 bar (36psi) Front size: 150/80-16 71H Rear tyre Venom Pressure rear: 2.9 bar (42psi) Rear size: 150/90B15 80H
  19. I know a certain Texas gal will be glad to see you, oh so will I.
  20. Once you do it a couple of more times, takes all of 5 minutes to slide the shaft into the u-joint, but my first time was every bit of 2 hours too. Boy was I cussin under my breath.
  21. Places may be washing out due to rain, but icing?? that would be strange, especially based on the heat.
  22. Heck I volunteer, but I am in Columbia, SC. Ride 2 up all the time, but when I saw your new height at just under 17 I am concerned the top edge would be right in my line of sight, was hoping you would be going to 18 or 19 inches.
  23. The 05 through current RSTD and 99 through current RSV are the same engine and carb configuration
  24. Just as Rocket when he shows up what the heat index is all about, 100 F with heat index of 115 is not a picnic. Bike has been pretty much setting the last 2 weeks. Bring on winter.
