I always thought you Florida guys never rode your bikes. Ruffy is always tearing his apart. Now he let the cat out of the bag, the rest of you trailor your bikes. :rasberry:
-
OMG, that is way too funny, Mechanic is just sitting here sticking her tongue out at me :rotf::rotf:
-
Maybe you need to come down here and adjust the floats on mine But with two up and luggage, I seem to get about the same as others in this part of the country.
-
Yours is the Tour Delux and you should get better gas mileage than an RSV, no fairing and trunk to deal with.
-
Maybe mistaken, but the warranty is now a 5 year "limited" warranty. Hmmm, does that mean they no longer replace the shock after say 20,000 miles on the bike?
-
37, 38 is what I average on the highways, jumps to 40, 41 at around 55 in 4th. All of this two up. For those of you stating that you are getting above 42 running at 70+, I just don't believe it, and that means you are running at 70+ for the entire tank.

Nope, but the 2012 are actually 3 tone color, with everyone of them having that silver right in the middle of white or blue or red. Actually on the black, not so bad.
-
Hell of alot better than Honda own paint scheme. Glad to see all that silver was painted over.

Also I belong to this forum and if you go to this link, pretty good explanation as to the download process for the 2012 maps. I went with a 16g sd card, loaded all of North Amercia onto chip. I have no problems running the maps from the chips. Just be sure if you do this process to back up all your files from the Zumo to your pc. http://www.zumoforums.com/index.php?topic=12972.0

Georgia Mountains Labor Day 2011
Sleeperhawk replied to Sleeperhawks Mechanic's topic in Picture Folder
For Mechanic and I, the route was 730 miles, give or take a couple miles. For Eck, add another 240 total. For Riderduke and TC, they should most likely doubled the the 730 miles. Going from Talicao Plains, TN to Blairsville, GA, Riderduke said that was one spirited ride. All I was doing was heading south away from the rain -
Seat Options - 2nd Gen
Sleeperhawk replied to BradT's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I had the Butler mod too, still did not fix my issue, just to dang soft. Went with the Mustang and the backrest option, we both love the Mustang seat. The Butler mod did help a lot of people here and even some of the GW group had him modify their seats and seem to like it. So spend the 70 and see if you like the Butler mod first, before spending the big bucks.- 17 replies

Test rode an RSV today
Sleeperhawk replied to jbose's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I have an 08 and I guess I don't have much of a whine, since it does not bother me and I have 54000 on the bike. If it is in really good shape, the price is right and you like go get it. There is is still at 2 years left on the warranty if it is used. :) -

Seat Options - 2nd Gen
Sleeperhawk replied to BradT's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
There are a lot of options, some have the Corbin, Mustang, Russell Day long, Ultimate and maybe other brands I haven't heard of. I went with the Mustang, Mechanic and I both really like this seat even over the pillow tops.- 17 replies

Cut the heel toe and made just a toe shifter
Sleeperhawk replied to muaymendez1's topic in Poor Man Tips and Fixes
Actually there are a bunch of us that use the heel shifter. I used the toe for a long time, then started using the heel, now the toe shifting just feels weird. And the heel part does not get in my way, must be the very big feet people that have this issue. -
Help!! My dealer has let me down
Sleeperhawk replied to motorcycle_1300's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
If the dealer took the carbs/air plenums off to replace the gasket, sounds like the carbs / air plenums are not seated properly which is allowing air to be sucked in. see this link about removing carbs. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7830 Next link a little more in depth but worth the reading. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24246 -
