Sharon went in today to get her foot x rayed, They didn't think she had any broken bones just bruised. And was impressed with her story. I did take the other Venture out for a four hour ride on Sunday to get back in the saddle. Did go to work on repairs today, The lower fairing was pretty much all gone, Crash bar was bent past the point of getting useable again along with the plastic parts down there. I was able to get the rear crash bar pulled back into place along with the bag rails, not perfect but still decent, and got the nasty stuff washed off from the deer. Feeling pretty great full in the way it all turned out. I know that it could have been a much different out come. Orlin

Had a deer come across the road from our left, wasn't much time for going to the right or left. So I pointed the cycle for a straight on hit to the deer. And it worked, we stayed up after the front went up and felt a hard hit to the left rear area and gave us a bit of a wobble at 55. We are a pretty good, Sharon has a sore left foot and is limping around some this morning, As for me, thumbs are both sore, left wrist and left leg from the knee down is sore, nothing broke that's a great thing. The second gen didn't fair as well, Slight front fender damage, took the lower fairing and pushed the rear crash guard and bag rail in and busted up the saddle bag. All can be replaced, worst part of that is I just rebuilt the cycle along with all of the body parts and this was our first ride on it. The deer didn't fair as well as we did, we went back later and found it dead down over the side of the road. And no I didn't bring it back and butcher it, Just wanted to set and relax and enjoy the rest of our day. Orlin

We have had a good time having the get togethers here at out place, And have seemed to of always had great times rain or shine. But this year its just not in the cards. I have way to many pans in the fire and have to give up somethings and as much as I hate to this is one of them. I am sure that we will be putting something together in the future maybe towards fall we will see how it goes. Sure am going to miss seeing everyone that comes, Don't be shy about coming to see us, we do like company and it doesn't take any arm twisting to get to go out for a ride. Thanks again to all of you that have came and made for the great times, we have met some of the greatest people and made some fine friends that have become more than family. Orlin and Sharon

Well for the first time in 22 years we have to cancel our get together here at our place, we just went threw a round of flooding and just to much to do to have everything ready. Mother Nature seems to be mad because she has been relentless for the last three years with the flooding around here. Along with many other parts of the country. Sure hope that she will calm down. We will be having our annual get together here at our place. Its for friends and family and its that one week and weekend that I like to just get to kick back and visit set around a fire and relax. And since we have met such great people on here that have become more family than friends. I wanted to put the invite out there. We have plenty of camping room, the campground is finally drying out after three years of flooding and a very wet spring. So if you don't have any plans come on over and hang out with us. It goes from Thursday to Sunday, Saturday is the cookout, fireworks and then bonfire. We do ask that for Saturdays cookout if you can bring a dish to pass please do. And I am sure that we will get in a ride Friday to go and get some ice cream. If you need to find us we are at E9364 Hwy 56 Viroqua Wi, Orlin and Sharon

I just got done putting the ride for Saturday together, Still have to do the pre ride and have to take a afternoon off to get it done I wont have my copilot along since she is at church camp so I hope I wont get lost along my way:whistling: We will leave here from our place around 1:00 and head for the Tippy Toe Inn at Chaseburg and from there to Westby and a stop at Central Express and then its off to the Goose Barn for some ice cream:fnd_(16): then a stop at Wild Things. Did someone say they wanted to stop by there, Then as long as we are in the area a ride threw the Wildcat and to Lafarge and see how we are doing for time and see if we are ready to head back for the cookout and bonfire. Safe travels to those that are coming sure is going to be great seeing everyone. 0rlin

Glad that you stayed up on two wheels, Have had that same feeling a few times isn't any fun, What tires do you have on. If you put a bias ply on the back and have a radial tire on the front it can cause the feeling. It could be that the bearings in the triple tree may need to be tightened greased or replaced. How many miles on the front tire, I just replaced a good looking front tire that when going around a right turn you wanted both hands on the handle bar, it would feel like it wanted to skip out from under you and had a wobble feel. It wasn't cupped but before taking the tire off noticed a flat spot in the tire like it had did a long skid best I can explain it. Put a new tire on and it rides and handles like a dream again. I also had a bad tire pressure gauge that caused me months of grief after going threw everything I could think of to fix the handling it was telling me that the air pressure was 10 pounds more than what was in the tires, so if I was putting in 36 pounds I was only putting in 26 pounds. When you put the handle bars back did you get them centered so as not off a bit to onside or the other. Any new noise that you haven't heard before. Orlin

Its pretty laid back time we like to make sure that we get time to chat and relax and get in a ride around the area. We stay to the county roads and other paved back roads and its a nice enjoyable ride at a nice pace so every one is safe. Thursday is just a hang out kind of a day and go by the seat of our pants and see what happens. Friday is great those that are coming and go for a short ride to get dinner and back here to our place for a campfire and relax and chat. Saturday, morning is get some maintenance on the bikes if there is some to be done then a short ride to have lunch then a afternoon ride and back here for a cookout and bonfire. And for those that may not want to ride we don't twist any arms, there are some nice shops in Viroqua to go and see, or you are welcome to hang out here and relax. Sunday is see those off that are heading for home and take it from there. We do have plenty of room to campout either up around the house or we have a camping area down by the creek. To find us is pretty easy, we are 6 miles east of Viroqua on Hwy 56, E9364 Hwy 56 Viroqua is the address Hope you cam make it. Orlin
