Good to see you can come Ken and Jeff, Jeff if you can get them to come bring them on up. Going to need help drinking that ice cold keg of beer. I have a plan in mind for a rock cooker and smoker, I hauled myself in 6 yards of nice quarry rock to build one up by the house and one down at the campground. Bill said he would be here with his grill so we can have some of those great burgers and brats. I figured I havent herd much about working on the bikes so its riding,eating food drinking some beer around a fire and B,sing I am thinking sounds like fun. That seat is nice the wife really likes it.

I just hate days like these, sounds like when my pressure tank decided to spring a leak in Febuary a few years ago, Went to town and the guy tells me that I need a special tank and that it will be over $700.00 I come home with out the tank make a call to Lacrosse this guy says I have one on the truck I will meet you half way for $20.00 and the price of the tank is $250.00 I told him what the guy in Viroqua told me for their price and he tells me that he supplys the one in Viroqua with the tanks but he will no longer. Good luck on the part hope you get a fair price. Orlin

Here is what I am thinking would like to get in a ride on Friday for those that would like to go can stop some where and eat or cookout here after the ride, Satarday work on cycles if we have enough time get in another ride. Then I have a hind quarter of Venison that I will be cooking along with burgers and brats for Satarday evening and then the bonfire at dark. After having Bills cooking at the Leaf Lookers ride we can put him in charge of the burgers and the brats. We have plenty of camping room there will be clean porta poties and and a place to shower. There are places in Viroqua to stay and there is the Blakley Hobbit just down the road from here nice cabin but you may want to give her a call ahead of time to see if she has it booked for the weekend. It should be a good time, I have been told I put on a good bonfire, and could use some of that fertilizer for the corn ground. We can have a grill going to put those trout on. Orlin

I have not been to a Maintenace Day so I am wanting to know what kind of Maintenace is done that will give me a idea of the tools to have on hand, Thanks Orlin

I am going to go and look at a 1999 Road Star 1600 it looks to be in nice shape from the pics I have seen, one owner 52,000 miles what are some things that I should be sure to check out on it. And what would be a fair price to pay or offer. Thanks Orlin

I posted the date on the calendar for June 30th, We will be going for a ride on Friday anyone that wants to come and join in is wellcome, We have a nice area for camping bring a fishing pole and do some trout fishing the stream is next to the campground. Satarday will be the day for working on the cycles and a cookout and bonfire in the evening. Hope to see you Orlin and Sharon

Is there anyone thinking of doing one? If not I would like to host one June 30th here at our place near Viroqua Wi, I have alot of room for working on bikes we also have a camping area next to the creek for those that would like to come and campout there are motels 6 miles away along with other places to stay. I would like to do a Friday ride work on bikes Satarday and that night have a cookout and bonfire. Thanks Orlin

Yes it is but not the way we are going, Sounds like we will leave Lacrosse and come back to Rockton from there make our way to Genoa then to LaCresent that will put the ride at a little over 100 miles,

Hello I talked with Steve and the date so far is Satarday June 9th it will start in Lacrosse Wi, and end at LaCresent Mn, For those of you that can come and join in and would like to come on Friday and campout here at our place near Viroqua we have a camping area here for freinds and family we will have a cookout and bone fire. And then you can ride with us to Lacrosse. Thanks for all of the informaition, thoughts and prayers. Orlin

Two years ago we decided to get back on a bike again and I picked up a 1984 Venture and now I have another setting next to it in the shed allmost ready to hit the road in the spring. As much as I like the ride of them its getting parts that has me looking for something newer to take the long rides on. And no I wont be parting with my Venture anytime soon way to much fun for our roads around here. So talking with Sharon about it she said no Harleys, and that is fine with me. It has came down to a newer Venture or a Vulcan has anyone here had both or rode both that will give me a honest opinion. Thanks Orlin

Hello It sounds like the ride is going to take place the end of May so not to get into the same weekend as other rides. We are thinking of starting here at my place its out in the country and would be a easy start to the ride. Now for the ending point would it be better to have it just out side of town so is we can stay out of the city with all of the bikes. Would like to keep this safe as we can for all riders. I am going to leave up dates for Elizabeth up to Steve. Thanks Orlin

All I can say is Thankyou for the help, I was told that when I joined and got to meet some of the people on here that its a place of more than friends but a place of family I am sure glad that I joined. We will be getting some updates on Thursday I will let you all know what we find out. And will work out a date and area for the ride. Thankyou Orlin

Hello My Brother in Laws Daughter Elizabeth age 25 found out Sept 25 2011 that she has stage 4 lung cancer. They are going to have a benefit ride for her called Cancer Schmancer in the spring. The date has not been set yet but we are looking for information on doing a benefit ride the whats to do and the not to do. Both of us are new comers to the site less than a year for the both of us. My name is Orlin Engh and he goes by LTC Steve on the site. I got to meet some very nice people at the Leaf Lookers ride Steve didnt get to attend he very much wanted to get to meet some of the people. They do have a page on Face Book with information about what is going on for Elizabeth it is TEAM ELIZABETH. We are just getting into the planing of the ride so any information we can get will be welcomed. Thanks Orlin

We went to Augusta Wisconsin and picked our new 1984 Venture do these cycles grow on people once they get one they have to get 2 or three. I wasnt sure just what to expect to see when I got there have been on my share of misinformed quests before but was very pleased when we got there, and what we found there is a treasure trove of parts for the first Generation Ventures I would say anything there would be for the 84s there are boxs of parts. I will be getting a complete list and pics of the parts. I told her I had joined this club and there is alot of good people. She lost her husband in June and is selling off all of the parts he had gotten over the years she is a very nice lady and it would be nice that she is treated the same. I will have some pics in a couple of days of the Venture and some more information as what all parts are there and prices. Have a great day Orlin

I would be interested in doing something like this at my place. I have a 260ft by 74ft building that I have for the most part empty from May untill October. I do have some tools here and could get loan of some more for a weekend. We have a camping area that we have for Family and Friends if some would like to camp. Or just a summer get together and a ride around the area there are some great roads in the area. Orlin
