    It is looking like there needs to be a date picked to get this started. For me the last 2 weeks in June and the last 2 weeks in July are allready taken. Other than that the spring, summer is open. I can do some leg work this and see what there is for lodging and what kind of rates they would offer. If decided to have it in this area. Orlin

    I talked with my lady she is all for it and wants to help, left up to the guys and we would just be on the bikes riding stoping for Root beer and hot dogs. Orlin

    I talked with Sharon I will throw my hat into the ring. We could use my place for a meeting area and camping we have a area to set up a band and have a bonfire. And there are motels 6 miles away along with some other nice places to stay. There a few places with very good food and banquet halls at reasonable rates. And we are also in the middle of some of Wisconsins best riding roads and I know a few of them along with some other Venture riders that come to the area to ride. Orlin

    I forgot to get my $12.00 sent in Its taken care of thanks to Sharon she takes such good care of me when it comes to things like this. I do good just to get out a post and to make a payment well I will say no more and yes I said THANKYOU THANKYOU I dont know what I would have done. There is no better way to spend $12.00 than here I have met some of the nicest people on here and have made some new friends and the information I have gotten is priceless. I had a member ask me how I liked this group and the site and I said it was one of the best things I had ever done. When Sharon and me got married she had her freinds and me mine and her friends and mine are from diffrent worlds. Now we have been blessed with a whole bunch of new friends that we call our freinds all I can say Thanks for letting us join in and be part of all of this and I look forward to more. Orlin and Sharon

    I checked for leaks and didnt have any by the heads or around the carbs I tryed it a couple of times to be sure, rechecked all of the clamps to make sure they are tight, re synced and they were still even. I am going to richen it up just a bit and see how that works. Orlin

    now I have this surgeing going on when going down the road at highyway speeds. If I choke it about a quarter of the way it smooths out. we had it out for a 4 hour ride the other day and had never run that smooth untill about 20 miles from home. I took it for a ride today and it started doing it about a mile or so down the road. Orlin

    What kind of brake issues are you having , I have been working on my other 84 Venture and going down the road it just didnt feel like it should, put diffrent tires on it checked all of the bearings forks ,frame and what I found was that my left front caliper was hanging up I took it apart cleaned it up and now it feels like it should going down the road. It would only give me a feeling that something wasnt just right once and awhile I found it by haveing the front end up so I could turn the tire by hand and I noticed that it would spin free and when I would use the foot brake and let off it would spin free do it again and then it wold be just a little harder to spin the wheel and then it would free up again. My wife even noticed the diffrence when we were going around the corners to the right that it was smoother Orlin

    I got it after pulling the air cleaner box and pulling the number 2 slide and getting in there and spraying some carb cleaner in all of the holes I could find and the same from up on top and draining the float and then putting some air threw it. And then I was able to do a sync on the carbs. Sets and idles great and starts as soon as I hit the button. Must have got what ever was in there flushed out. Orlin

    I have to think that this a fule problem I pulled the spark plug wires when runing and on 1and2 no change and on 3 it will die out and 4 a small change I can hear it ark to the plugs I had my gauges on for syncing the carbs and when I choked it a quarter of the way open number 2 and the rest of the carbs were close to the same. This spring I got a bad tank of gas and I changed the tank, carbs, filter and lines I am wondering if my fule pump is not pumping enough fule or if there was still some gunk in the pump and it has made it to the carbs I am going to check the filter to see if it has gotten pluged.     On my 84 Venture I have 1,3,and 4 synced but number 2 will not, It also when warmed up will go from 1000 rpm to 2000 rpm up and down and have noticed a small back fire when running down the road. And at a idle you can hear it miss and then smooth out. I have good fire to number 2 spark plug. I checked the slide when runing and moves the same as the rest and checked the diaphragm and it looks good cant find any holes. Orlin

    I have a ford f150 and had to rebuild the rear end at 150,000 have 285,000 on it now and still runs like a top its the only problem I have had with it. And it was the fault of the dealer ship they put the wrong fluid in. Orlin

    That would of been scary to see good thing the car didnt get alot more people, sure have to be carefull in this heat. It went from green around here to brown in a couple of days sure hope that the state gets some much needed rain soon. Orlin

    Sharon, Oscar and me want to say thanks for coming it was a great time we got to meet and make some new freinds and got to see some old freinds and got some bikes worked on. And I hope that we get to see all of you again soon. Our 12 year old now wants a white Venture like iceberrg3rd and has some stories to tell of the bonfire at his place with some bikers and what a great time they all were. We want all of you to know that you are wellcome back here anytime. And hope that everyone made it home safe. Thanks again Orlin

    That was close, good to hear that you are okay and also the one behind you. could have been alot worse. Eat a couple of those rum balls and calm those nerves down.

    You can bring a dish to pass if you would like and what you like to drink if you have a certain brand there will be some pop,beer and water. Other than that just have a safe ride here. Orlin

    There are clean porti poties with plenty of paper. No worries there. And yes you can take a dip in the creek it will cool you off in a hurry. Getting worried about having a bonfire its really dry and I see that the DNR put burn bans on the countys next to us here. We may just be able to go with a good campfire. We will see if we get a good dew to move in to the valley. Orlin

    I am still sore from taking a tumble on Tuesday when I was getting off of the tractor. I was in a hurry so the horses didnt get out threw the gate steped off and found a hole about 2 feet deep twised my ancle a bit and my right knee gave out and I hit the dirt. Good thing is there was no fresh horse apples to land on. Have a safe ride. Orlin
