If you are in the Viroqua WI, area August 2nd come and join us for our 17th annual Venison Roast this is for friends and family and its also our 17th year of Sharon putting up with me. We will be camping down by the creek mine and Sharon's second home during the summer. Anyone is well come to and camp we start on Thursday and go until Sunday if you are here on Friday I am sure that we could be talked into going for a ride. Orlin and Sharon

We will be there for Thursday night and Fridays ride. Its always a great time.

My cousin wants so say Thankyou for all of us stoping in at the Blackhawk Grill we are her first Motorcycle group to stop and eat. And the owners of the Blue Goose hope that we all come back again I told them we will be back there again. The weather was good to bad the rain coming in it made for a early day on Sunday was looking forward to some chicken from Rockton. Sharon says there was alot of beer left maybe we should have another get together, I said sure allways like to see our Venture rider family. and that way we can have the bonefire we didnt get to have Saturday night. I would like to say Thankyou to all that came and made it another great time. Great company, it just dont get anybetter. We even got some maintence done. Thanks to Rick for getting the neck bearings tightened up and a Thanks to Gary for the leveling links and the help getting them in, and a Thanks to Flying Fool for all of his hard work getting that bolt out. And Ken for leading the group back and getting everyone in place for Steve's suprise birthday party. HAPPY 60TH Steve. Sure hope everyone had as good as time as Sharon and me and we will miss you all untill the next time we get to see each other. I would check under the seat and go threw those connections there, Also I had trouble with tail light and other electrical untill I did the fuse block up grade you could have a fuse that isnt making good contact. Orlin

I put all new cop's in the second time in my 5.4 and still had the same two go out again so just replaced those two, seems to me it was number 3 and 6 cop's and went with the cheaper kind and they lasted just as long as the others. Orlin

If she has allready put her foot out to stop from going down I would say to just try and step off it as it is going down, and for sure not try to help hold the bike up. If she keeps her feet on the foot rests I would think to just hang on and let the crash bars do their work. I dont think that the passenger has much luck at bailing off if you have a back rest and the rear trunk. This is a good thing to talk over with your passenger. I will like to see the others answers to this. Orlin

Jeff you know those pillow top seats on the second gens are pretty soft maybe time for a change your bottom may thank you for it.

We went over to the Blue Goose for Pizza and Ice cream Thursday evening, very good, there is room to set inside and out, the one down side is it is a gravel parking lot but it is fairly flat and easy to get in and out so we shouldnt have any troubles at all. As far as the ride goes I can ad more to it if the day is nice and we all want to ride some more, the route I have planed has some nice twisty windy roads along with some very nice ridge top views and this is a nice easy going ride we dont get in a hurry around here. Sharon is not in charge of the weather reporting this year,A couple of Rum balls and couple sips of Apple pie is all it will take:whistling:. Maybe we can talk Ken into putting in a good word to Mother Nature for us:lightbulb:. Orlin

We got in Saurdays ride and talked with the owners of the BlueGosse and they said that after 1:00 for us as a group the best time to come there. its a 1/2 hour ride there, We can eat and then get in our ride that would put us back here between 4:00 and 5:00 I have made a route of 60 miles. That gets us back here for time to work somemore on the bikes if anyone wants to and set and relax and then the cookout and bonefire. I am wondering how this looks for those that are coming. I know that there are some that would like to set and relax and visit and there are those that do like to get in a ride during the day. And its very hard to come to this area and not get in a ride to see our part of the country. I wanted to see if this would work for the most of us, if you dont want to get in on the ride and just relax that is fine would like to work it out so we all have a good day. Thanks Orlin

We will be camping here at our place from Thursday night till Monday if you are going threw the Viroqua area or if you have nothing going on and are looking for a place to go stop by or come and campout we will be here, We do have a graduation party Saturday afternoon, other than that we will be hanging out relaxing and getting in some riding time. I just got the Large Bagger shield a couple of weeks ago and so far am very pleased with it. I am 6,1 and Sharon is 5,4 We tryed it with the clear part down and I get some wind I can wear my cap and it stays on my head, Sharon says she gets a good amount of wind but not bad. But I can hear alot of wind noise on hear hellment. With it up, big change alot less wind and keeps the rain off. Orlin

We got out yesterday and rode the route for Fridays ride the roads are in great shape, This afternoon we are going to try and get Saturdays ride in and check the time of the ride with our stops, I am going to put together a couple of diffrent routes as well depnding on how many we have for the rides and the amount of time we all want to spend on the rides. And so far it looks like we have riders coming from WI, MN, IA, IL, OH, OK, and a maybe from Canada so we will get to make some new freinds and see some old ones. And dont worrie the rides I have planed are not that long as I know that if you have rode a long way to get here its just nice the set relax and enjoy each others company and not everyone has to join in on a ride if they dont want to. Mark just got this 1986 a couple of weeks ago, Its going to need the outer fairing halfs to get him back on the road again. I am going to make a couple of calls today and see what I can come up with for some parts. Orlin

Mark aka disfunctional 33 hit a deer this morning on his way home from work, Mark is fine except for some road rash on his elbows and some bruzes, I am sure he will be pretty sore for the next few days. Was very lucky. He was able to ride the bike home but it has alot of damage to the fairing, right saddle bag and crash bars he went down on the left side after hitting the deer then the bike fliped and hit hard on the right side. He asked me to post this for him sounded like he is getting pretty stiff and sore. Orlin

I got it yeasterday and put on and got to go out for a ride and have to say that I really like it. I got the Extra large adjustable and it sure looks nice on the bike. And what service great people to deal with. I got ordered it on Friday late afternoon and it was here yesterday afternoon not even 24 hours. It was very easy to install. I will try and get some pics and get them on here. Orlin
