Okay I found out today that the Vernon Inn didn't block off any rooms for me, After I gave them the dates and asked if they need anything down to block the 10 rooms and was told no that they would hold them. Any way the manager had forgotten to put it down on their calendar and they are pretty much booked up. I called Hickory hill and they have. 9 rooms with queen size bed, 3 rooms with King size bed, 2 rooms with 2 beds. I called the Old Towne Motel in Westby and they have 3 one bed and 8 two beds. I will be going to the Hickory Hill Motel tomorrow they said that we can block the rooms and I will find out just what is needed to do to make sure that they wont be taken. Wednesday I talk with the manager at the Old Towne and block rooms there also . I will post more after I get to talk with the managers face to face. If you know you are coming call now and make your reservations for your room. Sorry for this I guess that next time I will have it put down in writing that the rooms are blocked. Orlin

Those are the lights, and they are in real nice shape I will have to clean them up I know some Mopar guys they may know some who could use them/ Thanks for the find I would have been looking for the needle in the hay stack.

Well I think this guy did just drag it out of the barn. Its alittle ruff on the edges a little faded and some cracks that need repair not as nice as he claimed it to be, I got a good deal and its all there and I did get it to come to life yesterday. Floats are stuck on the carbs so I put in a set here that I knew where good changed the oil got rid of the mouse nest under the seat. Putt a little oil down the cylinders cranked it over put the pugs back in hit the key and it was setting there running:D. And then the smoke started to form in the shop:yikes:, Now I have started enough cars trucks cycles that have been setting along time to know point them at the door or get them out side:confused24: why I didn't do yesterday excitement maybe. It didn't take long and it was so thick you couldn't see anything in there so doors open fan in the window shut the bike down. Got the shop cleared out of all the smoke pushed the bike to the big door started it back up and let it run for a good twenty minutes. Shut it off and, revks from Lansing Iowa came pulling in to get a hitch for his 83 Venture we got to meet and have a good chat. He headed back home and time to get the day finished so I got to take the bike for it first ride:D from one side of the shed to the other and park it for the night. Now to get some pics on here, I will get it figured out. Orlin

Going to go and pickup a 1983 Ruby Red Venture on Friday afternoon. And yes I will get a pic of it on here when I get it home. 40,000 miles It sat for most of the last ten years other than him starting it up and maybe a trip around the block. Paint is alittle faded on the top of the trunk but I have a replacement that's in pretty good shape. A good going threw and some cleaning and buffing I think I can bring this one back to a nice ride again. Orlin

Don't give him a challenge I think that machine of his isn't working the way it should he sprayed that white stuff all over the place this time. That or he is just getting really bored and checking out what those other setting do.

whats it doing or not doing? could just be a fouled plug or a bad plug wire.

Looks like its going to be cold here for the next 4 days, Put up wood for the wood stove cleaned the furnace stocked up with food and need a lot of that with a 16 year old in the house. No snow in the forecast so shouldn't have to go and plow, Good time to get caught up on all that's going on here on the site, Watch some movies and do some cleaning in the basement when I get bored setting around. Its been a pretty good winter so far that Flyinfool hasn't been able to do much with that machine of his and he must have done a good job on the door keeping that air from the north from getting down here, someone must have gotten it open a bit and is letting us have a feel of that nice cold air. The days are getting longer and nights are getting shorter and it wont be long and we can crank up the bikes and head down the road for a ride. Orlin

Sharon asked me how the Regional Rally is coming along I told her we got a couple of maybes and two that are coming that have signed RSVP on the calendar.
