    UPDATE ON MY COIL PROBLEM: The bike shop owner said the coils are backordered at Yamaha...But he also found out a V-Star coil is the same and he had a junk V-Star in the back and the coil was good... Cleared up the skipping problem and I saved on overnight shipping and he charged me $25 for the used coil... I thought the time was a little excessive 1 3/4 hours to replace the coil.. At least I'm straightened out and I'm heading back to Maine tomorrow.. I got a case of Heat Exhaustion here in Houston and have had a headache for 5 days now..

    It's like deja vu all over again...I have the same problem... I've been in TX for a month... I got bad gas and bike was running rough... ran sea foam through it no improvement... brought it to a local shop to have the plugs changed and it was still skipping... they found the rt rear coil was bad... they said it had a lot of corrosion on it and tryed cleaning the contacts but it was bad... said it was still putting out spark but very weak... had to order a new coil $58.00 + overnight cuz I'm heading back to Maine on Sat.

    My originals had 36000 miles and 1 of them was toast other still had meat. He probably should have swapped them inside to outside and vice versa.

    I took my deflectors off 2 years ago... IMO they look cheesy and just clutter up the front along with the reflectors.

    Nice job Larry I like it... I've been watching ebay for new ones to replace mine because mine are extra flimsy cuz it got dumped b4 I bought it. I can get it to the right position but it always go back. How thick is the stainless bar you use... I got a lot of stainless plate material I've taken out of ATMs I've upgraded and wonder if it's thick enough. TIA,

    Hi Bill, Thanks for the spacer... I got it and it looks nice. I'm waiting for it to warm up a little. I got a lot of work to do yet on my bike.. I bought the Roadliner driving lights 2 bulbs in each and I gotta figure how to get them wired up. Thanks again,

    I've thought about getting a Harley shell and mating it to my fairing. i really don't like the RSV fairing... it reminds me of an ugly windjammer II fairing I had on a 77 G"old" Wing. I tossed around a few Ideas... Getting a quadzilla with 4 speakers and and mounting my audio stuff inside it. I hope to build a garage this year maybe next wintah... Good weather I'm too busy ridin... Doin Bike Week Daytona and maybe Sturgis.....

    Buy a bat wing fairing for your TD and I'll swap you my venture fairing and headlight. Maineyak

    I use Wesleys Bleech White and then go over the tough spots with SOS pads.... not easy but it works
