  3. Yo AZ I've seen those bags in person and I think they hold just as much if not more than the RSV bags... I said it needed a trunk... not that queer looking little box on back... Please read the post you're responding to... recalls

I heard about the Head Gasket thing and it was limited to a certain batch... The trunk plate I thought was the older ones that were cracking... like 99-01 or something like that... Someone will chime in with the specifics... I'm just a Semi-Proffesional Know-it-all..
  5. Mine does it through the speakers... I think Yamaha did this in case you ride around with the radio blasting it's the only way to tell if the stock horn is working... Get a stebel and you won't hear the static anymore... The Stebel drowns out the static.. By the way how much are you blowing the horn??? You live in NYC?
  6. Can't you just put your feet on the jugs??? Or buy these.... http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/R1200GS/rcuGS12-Footpegs.jpg
  7. Wait a second... Beemer guys don't have highway pegs... I think it's in their rule book right after the don't wave to non beemer riders rule...
  8. Yo Dogman... Unless you wanna end up in the dog house let's see some pictures of those new pegs... Also not everyone likes the backrest... I had one and took it off after 2 weeks... And I do some distance... I figure I did 60k without a backrest I can do another ....
  9. Ok Scotty great Advertisement... But what's the knocking all about???? Valves, water pump, clutch, preignition????
  10. OUCH!!!! Larry I think your missing something this wasn't a real trike... It was one of those Training Wheel setups.. It turns it into a 4 wheeler... I think a real trike has gotta be more stable than those things... At least your always steering... I've talked to people with those Voyager kits and they seem dangerouse by nature... I guess they allow some lean... But how much? When you run out of lean what then? turn the bars? http://www.geocities.com/kellybomar/voyagerkits/voyagercyclepicture.jpg
  11. Are you related to Gary "US" Bonds???
  12. Squeeze I didn't know where you stand on CTs... I guess I do now tho... I just assumed anyone following the Darksiders forum was either into it or interested in trying it. I was talking about going back to the stock size 150/80-16 front tire in a radial Motorcycle tire... I'm running the smaller 130/80-16 Avon Bias tire now... I'm thinking running radial tires front and back might improve handling and was asking your opinion.. The 150 is not an oversized tire on the RSV For the record... I don't get this "muscling" thing in respect to counter steering.. My RSV takes a gentle nudge on the bar side I want to turn... Not much effort at all MC or CT... I just have to nudge a little more with the CT cuz it needs more lean... I can do it with one hand without hardly any effort... Can you explain this Muscling thing to me I never got that. BTW I consider myself a pretty aggresive rider (for a RSV anyways) but have been taking it kinda easy learning this CT thing. Yeah I'm a Fat Guy too... 6'3" 315 lbs
  13. Yes & No... You don't use the same hook up as the CD Player .. But can use a male to male headphone type wire (Make sure it's a stereo cable) and plug into the jack at your cassette player or open the fairing and there's a hook up in there if you don't want to leave your cassette door open... You set your controller to the AUX position... This will allow you to control the volume at your master controller but you still have to use the ipod to change songs. FYI some people like myself have had problems with Ipod hard drive units probably due to vibration... Flash drives work better cuz they have no moving parts. IMHO the flash drive MP3 player is a better option over the CD player as CDs skip like a schoolgirl... I have a Sansa e260 that has a 4 gig flash drive and if I didn't leave it out in the shed during the winter it would still be great but now my LCD display is messed up but it still works great.
  14. hey if Yamaha does something like this with a V-Max engine, trunk, and some Creature Features I'll Beg borrow and steal to buy one. http://www.fxstein.com/blog/resserver.php?blogId=1&resource=fxliner.jpg&mode=medium http://fxstein.com/blog/resserver.php?blogId=1&resource=fxliner.rear.jpg
  15. Last and only new bike I ever owned was a 1977 Harley-Davidson XLCH Sportster... It was the last year of the kickers and I only had it 2 years and traded it for a 1974 FLH Police Special.... I probably only put 15K on the Sporty. My 03 RSV I bought in 05 with 10K miles and should have 100,000 next year... I got 72K so far. Hey lowell you thinking of buying a new Voyager... I could see you on that..
  16. Bigboy it looks like you and me with the Kumho... I have 2500 and it's going OK... I started at 32 Lbs but got a wiggle when pushing hard in 3rd and a Wobble at 85-90... I boosted it to 40 lbs no wobble and very slight wiggle under hard acceleration.. Gonna check steering head and swing arm bushings this winter... I have 70K on my 03
  17. Good point Squeeze... Why didn't I think of that?? Ok while we have your rationale juicies going... I now have the 130 Avon bias front tire 75% worn... If I instal a 150 Radial front tire how will that effect handling??
  18. Hey this is like Deja-Vu all over again... I'm new to the CT with 2500 miles but while I'm getting more confidence with it I find I have to lean the bike over further to make the same curve/corner... So as a result I'm scraping my floorboards more... I used to push my RSV pretty hard but have backed off somewhat worried about touching down in a high speed sweeper... Be careful mounting that Federal and try to keep it under 100 lbs. some guys on the Delphi Dark Side Forum are claiming their tires have exploded over 100 lbs damaging rims and 1 tire guy broke his hand... From what I gather the MC 15" rim is quite a bit smaller than a Car rim... More so than the 16" rim... Not sure if this is true but that's what I've been hearing.. Good Luck
  19. Welcome to the site Gregg... I think you meant to say 165/80-15 not 16... Mmm Venture and a Valk that's pretty cool... My mileage went way up at first because I was taking it real easy breaking in my Kumho... I have about 2500 miles now and I'm still seeing 3-4 miles better... BTW I can still feel the nubs on the tire.. Hey is your Valk a dresser or stripped?
  20. Great Job Beer30!! I wish I coulda been there... I'm facinated with World War II and the Holocaust and have talked to several POWs and worked with a Jew that survived the Death Camps as a young boy and had the number tatooed on his arm... I also watch everything about it on The History Channel and have read several books on the subject... Sounds like a great time.. Pretty ironic to hold such a gathering at Andersonville a Civil War POW camp that makes the German POW Camps look like the Ritz..
  21. Ok ignore this post... This is a test of the emergency all caps system... I'm checking to see if i can post in all caps like big tom.. This post was posted using all capital letters... If you're not seeing all caps would you be so kind as to report this to the all caps scrutinizer that disables all caps on some users but not all... If this post shows up in all caps forget i posted anything... This is only a test..
  22. Hey Schlep I think I know your problem... That tin foil is acting like an extraterestial antannae and the voices are aliens from planets in other gallaxies... That also explains the Donnie & Marie tunes too... The planets are so many light years away they were listening to bad 70s TV shows... It might help scientists if you can remember what songs they were singing... They could narrow down the light years and distance of the planet that's communicating with you... Good Luck Buddy
  23. Did Donnie & Marie have any tunes??? I thought they just sang other peoples songs... I don't remmember but I never was a big fan... I got over 4000 songs and no D&M tunes... As far as the voices I narrowed it down years ago... It's my voices... I figured it out after a few Homer Simpson momments when I heard the voice and then said "Did I say that, or just think it?" Hey Shlep good luck with that... But if I was you I'd try to steer my focus towards Marie... The Donnie thing sounds a little Gay.... Not that there's anything wrong with that... Did I type that or just think it?
  24. I hardly ever wear a helmet... Only in bad weather and states with helmet laws do I ever wear a helmet and then it's usually a beanie but I own a 1/2 and a Modular... But I support anyone's right to wear what they want... I think the values of a helmet are overrated and can actually cause your head to hit the pavement harder than it normally would if at all because it increases the weight of your head... It also increases your chance of a neck injury because of the added weight and the way a helmet bounces off the pavement... I also believe it increases my chances of having an accident due to limiting vision and hearing and I feel like a bobble head doll... Since a few brought it up... I also don't ride with God, Angels, Dead Relatives, or any other imaginary friends.. This has served me well for just about 40 years of riding motorcycles.
  25. No scratching... I could dig that... My stocker is a year old and has all kinds of scratches. Hey Don if you need another prototype tester you can send one my way..
