She don't look too bad to me... My 03 was in worse shape than that when I bought it in 05 for $8500... But it only had 10K miles... I had to replace the Gas Tank, Upper Fairing, Front Fender and lived with a few scatches here and there... How much could you have bought it back for?

Here's a similar bike... It's called Harley Limo http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v206/Trident_t150/Limo002.jpg And another that runs on 24 chainsaw motors http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1359/784834787_1581ad3dd3.jpg

If it were mine I'd run some Shell Rotella in it... It's a high detergent oil and may help clean out the straglers..

All that and they spelled it wrong... It shoulda been W-I-E-N-I-E

First registered street bike: 1969 BRIDGESTONE 350 GTR http://www.bridgestonemotorcycle.com/images/BSGTR.jpg Here's what one leading motorcycle magazine said when they tested the 350 GTR: "The engine/transmission unit is fantastic ... It is so good, in fact, that only a real technician can fully appreciate all the details." Another said this, "As big and as fast as any 500—and considerably faster than most." Six speeds, 40 HP, oil injection, dual rotary valves are only part of the story. Your Bridgestone dealer will show you a host of design innovations that make the 350 GTR unlike anything you've ever seen or ridden. See him today. Here's what I remember... 6 speeds all down... I paid $250 in 74 and it was all I had... I did not have the money to register and insure it and sneaked rides whenever I could for a month or 2 until I registered it... It was pretty big for a 350..

Myth: Cold weather or change in weather causes colds. Fact: The ‘‘common cold’’ has nothing to do with climate or temperature. Changes in weather and dampness may affect someone’s arthritis but will not cause a cold. The ‘‘common cold’’ is a viral infection that is transmitted by contact with a sick person. Viruses that cause the common cold tend to be more active in the winter and school year when people are clustered together and more likely to spread germs. Colds occur in warm, southern climates, as well. I see plenty of people with cold infections in the summertime. http://www.healthcaresouth.com/pages/askthedoctor/commoncold.html

I went out for a ride yesterday too... They said it was supposed to get in the 40s but it never got above 38... I've been on the road for 3 weeks and haven't done any riding in a while... It's supposed to get in the 50s this week..

I've got the Polks in the front of my RSV and I think they sound alot better than stock... More Bass and better treble than stock... I gotta get another pair for the rear... If you shop around and want to change all the speakers you can get the 2nd pair for 1/2 price

a few clutch questions
MAINEAC replied to pegscraper's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The benefit is having a clutch that should last for 100K+ miles -
I'm running the Kumho Powerstar 758 165/80-R15... I do have to lean a little more than I used to and had a wobble until i increased the air to 40 lbs... I got about 3k miles so far but I'm reserving my recommendation until I do some more miles and repack my steering head bearings and check my swingarm bushings... I have over 70k on the bike and these have never been done...

Venture for me... I need the Cruiser riding position... The GW is more of a Standard Tourer while the RSV is a Cruiser Tourer... I had a Wing a few years ago but my knees were in better shape then... Agree with others the RSV is better looking too... The GW and the BMW Tourers are in a class by themselves being Standards... While the Cruiser Full Dressed Tourers are RSV, Harley Dressers, Victory Vision, and the new Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager... At least that's where I draw the line

I got a few Tats and I never heard of that crap before and I give blood regularly... That sounds like the Mickey Mouse Hospital we have here in Maine... I went to the ER with a Gall Bladder attack and was told by the ER Doctor I was constipated... Lucky for me an Internist was in the house...

Probably has something to do with that Geezer Glide Gold Wing You meet the nicest people on a Honda... http://photos.imageevent.com/motorbiker/newspics3/Honda-Goldwing-Wheelie.jpg

To each his own is right... You ride a 1st Gen and you consider the Ness bikes to be ugly??? Sorry but I find that to be comical... As far as change goes... the yellow Nesstalgia Bike was built in the early 70s.... I saw it in an Easyriders Mag back in the day

I've been a big fan or Arlen Ness since I was a kid and he never made a bike I didn't like... I think the Vision looks cool as hell... especially for a factory produced bike... I've included a few pics of this man's other bikes cuz it's obvious some of you have no idea of what cool is...
-
I gotta say the RSV is the most comfortable bike I've ever owned and would buy a new one if I could afford it... It would take 4-5 years to do 100K... Whatsup wit these questions? You buyin a new bike LA?
