  1. That's the only way to go this time of year... Except for the Freak snowstorm like once in every 20 years you should be golden... After you get out of San Antonia a little ways it's pretty much Desert all the way to LA... Then you just have the Mts in CA to worry about.. You probably know how they go... good luck
  2. Anyone using these Vintage Fenders?? I'm thinking of going with these and would like some imput... I'm going for a retro kinda look but am concerned about using fiberglass fenders... http://www.tejasthumpcycles.com/metricbikes/metriccruiser/parts/fenders/suzuki_vintage_fenders.jpg AD Copy: Vintage Yamaha fenders are styled to complement the look of vintage automobiles. Their long, flowing shape and “V” detail bodylines create a nostalgic, classic motorcycle that people will drool over and beg the question, “What year was this made?” Vintage Yamaha fenders are a direct replacement for stock.
  3. A nice used one like yours??? How much do you want for your nice used one? Was it $5 or $6K????

  7. Avon AM42 Venom X Rear Size 150/90B15 80H Avon has the 80H version of this tire listed for use with the RSV... 80H is the load and speed rating of 996 lbs and 120 MPH.. The 74V is in Yamaha's specs but not listed on Avon's website as a tire for a RSV.. Make sure the one you order is a 80H...
  8. If you're hosting it doesn't that make it one of those Wing Ding Things???? Seriously tho.. If I can get time off I'll be there... They got any Dunkin Donuts out that way?
  9. Battery tender is a name brand for for a battery maintainer... The good ones come with a fused wire battery hook up that you install on your bike and leave it where you can get at it... Now when you pull your bike in the garage it takes 2 seconds to hook up... instead of pulling the seat and hooking it up with the jumper cable clips... I've heard this connector called a BMW connection and it also works on some heated clothing.. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VwHgzEyjL._SL500_AA280_.jpg
  10. I did not know that... I thought the only thing metric was the 10 MM battery posts... My last Harley was a 74... DOH!

Can't get the link here... My Zone Alarm blocks tiny.urls as a potential threat... I find it easier to type some text like Ventureriders... then highlight it click the little globe icon in the toolbar to insert link .. then paste the address like http://www.venturerider.org/modules/Jig/index.php into the popup box and it turns venturiders into a clickable link... At least that's what works for me

  20. No I don't want to take this in some other direction... I was trying to find out what direction you were going... Nevermind
  21. No I have my own Co... I really don't need much for tools unless I'm doing an install.. I do have a trailer and I used it in MD, VA when I had like 90 modem upgrades to do.. It worked out pretty good.
  22. All CBs by law can only be 4 watts... They can be tweaked up illegaly to 5 - 25 W depending on the model... I used to have a 400W kicker when I was trucking..
  23. I'm a ATM Tech and I cover New England and use my bike whenever I can... I've also used it on work trips to VA and TX.. Plus when I go for a ride after work it's usually 60 - 100 miles depending on the direction... I usually do FL once or twice a year...
  24. I don't know if the MC and the car models are different or not... But what I do know is if you bought a 2 pack it was definetly the car model... The MC model comes in a single pack.. I'm on my 2nd Silverstar in 62,000 miles and just put the 2nd in this summer..
