One of the prettiest areas in Arkansas is Jasper. It is on HWY 7 south out of Harrison, AR.

I found that eating 5 meals a day and drinking a six pack will put on some pretty good handles for her to hold on to.

I am not impressed with the hybrids. I teach automotive and have been studying the new hybrids. The projected battery life is 80,000 to 100,000 miles. If you do the math and factor in the price of the battery ($3000.00-$5000.00), it is cheaper to buy a car that gets 30 mpg than a hybrid that gets 45 mpg unless you trade it in before it is time to buy a battery and even then I am concerned what the residual value will be because it will be time for new batteries. They are only using 60% of the capacity of the batteries trying to prolong their life. The only way I can see you coming out ahead on these cars is if you lease one.

Bubs verses Road King pipes.. Which is loader?
ctraylor replied to Reaney in NH's topic in Watering Hole
I made my own straght pipes. I cut off the front of the old muffler at the spot where it was the same size as the pipe and welded in on. I then bent the pipe the same angle as the muffler. I cut the hangers off the old muffler and welded on the pipes. Now when a loud Harley pulls up behind me I can blow his helmet off. It sounds great to me but may be a little loud for some. It has a sound like no other bike, more like a v-8 engine. I then painted it with flat black header paint and so far is holding out good. -
I had the same problem with mine and the choker cable was unhooked on the carbs. Make sure the choker cable is working. It may not be choking the bike and it will be very hard to start cold if not.

I smoked for about 15 years about 2 packs a day. I tried everything to stop, patches, gum, and suckers to no avail. I wanted desperately to stop but couldn't. On my daughter's 4th birthday I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she looke me right in the eye and said I want you to quit smoking daddy. I was standing by the fireplace and threw my pack of cigarettes in the fireplace and never smoked another. I guess it broke my heart and that gave me the strength to quit. My daughter is now 20 years old and a junior in college and I hope this adds many years to my like to spend with my grandchildren.

This light will come on if the cell it is in is low on water. Make sure the cell is full. I replaced my battery with a gel battery and just attached the wire to the hot post and the light has not yet come on. I didn't install any resistor there was already one in the line.

I have an 86 Venture and am having some cruise control problems. As long as I set it below 60 mph it works fine but when I go over 70 it will gradually gain speed and all at once let off the accelerator until it returns to the original setting then reingauge. Has anyone had this problem before? I have a cousin that has the same problem with his which is a 90 model I think. Thank you,

My wife is a high school counselor and she just returned from SanDiego marine base. The marine corps sent about 40 teachers for a one week tour of the marine base to witness how they are trained. They got to see the recruits returning from the crusible. She said they were all hopping and some was carrying the others. It is a 3 day hike through the dessert with only 2 meals carried with you and you get 4 hours sleep per night. She was very impressed with this base. I am sure he will leave there a man.......

I have a quick question. Are the black plastic covers over the valve covers neccessary? I don't see any reason for them being there. Has anyone left these off without any problems?

Whats the best sounding exhaust on a 1st gen
ctraylor replied to nascarnutt's topic in Watering Hole
I think straight pipes sound the best. I installed 2 1/4" straight pipes on mine and it sounds great. Now when a Hardley pulls up behind me and revs his engine I can blow his helmet off. -
Quitting was the hardest thing I ever done but I will never go down that road again. I quit cold turkey and after about 3 weeks it became easier to bear. It will especially be hard if your wife smokes. Now I can't stand the smell of them and was glad when Arkansas baned smoking in public places. You will not be sorry you quit but every time you kiss your wife you will taste cigarettes. Will she not quit with you? The one thing that helped me was on my daughter's 4 birthday I asked her what she wanted for her birthday. She looked at me and said "I want you to quit smoking daddy". That broke my heart and I threw my pack of cigs in the fireplace and never smoked another. My daughter is now 20 years old and she don't know the good she done her dad. One more thing, every time you smoke a cig, you have to start all over again. I hope this helps.

The first gen bikes have 16 inch tires and I don't think they make a ct to fit it. Will the rims of a second gen fit a first gen?

I purchased one of the little bells to go on a bike and it has come apart up at the top. Nothing left but the wire and the little ringer part. Has anyone had this to happen. These little things were expensive if I remember. I haven't hit anything with it it just came apart. Are they warrantied?
