There should be an air bleed valve on the thermostat housing. Loosen it off and fill the radiator until water runs out the bleed valve and the air should be bled out. I have also seen the heater cores stop up and the only way to unstop it is to blow through it backwards with shop air. This usually blows all the gunk out that has built up over the years, seen this many times. If there is a vacuum problem it will change the vents when you get the engine in a pull while driving. I worked for Chrysler for years and have seen this before. What engine? It the engine is a 3.5, the water pump is pulled by the timing belt. If the belt has not been changed the belt may be loose and allowing the water pump to slip. If this is happening, it won't be long until the timing belt fails.

Well you guys that trailer just poke fun right back at us and I promise we won't get mad. Some need to lighten up a little. If I get to old to ride that far I'll probably get a trailer too. No wait, I'll just buy a trike with a big lounge seat on it....

Ruffy's lady was so upset about the fun poking at Ruffy that she went and had a flower pot tattooed around her intake manifold so now they make a good pair. He'll be planting roses the rest of his life......

I went to Bikes, Blues, and Barbeque in Fayetteville, AR this weekend. The campground where we stayed was full of trailered Harleys and some weren't from very far away. Most I saw were older hardcore bikers looking guys and gals. Maybe they have lived such a hard life that they can't ride that far any more or can't stand all that vibration.

Oh yeah I am already planning how I am going to hook up the trailer. Maybe a little more involved than the Venture but I'll get it done. I am getting ready for Bikes, Blues, and Barbeque in Fayetteville and am leaving in the morning. See yall on the road...

No straight pipes for this one. I almost got a spanking by the Mrs. when I took the mufflers off the Venture. I bet it would sound good though. I'll try to get some pictures later but right now I am going for a ride....

I bought the BMW and rode it about 120 miles today. I don't think I have ever rode a bike that was that smooth and it handled great. Please don't disown me I still have my Venture and will keep it. It is a 1999 K1200 LT with 15000 miles.

I have found a 1999 K 1200 Lt BMW with 15000 miles in great shape. Has anyone ever owned one of these and can you tell me if they are good and dependable bikes. I can buy it for $7000.00.

Well let's just pray for each other. I am going on the 28 for my chemo treatment. I don't know how it will affect me or if I will loose my hair. I had the choice to take 15 radiation treatments or one chemo and I chose the 1 treatment and get it over with. Live well my friend

It will be on the back side of the fuse if it is getting hot. You probably have a short to ground somewhere in that circuit. You just have to start tracing that wire from the fuse out and find where it is shorted. There is not shortcut for this. Look at the harness and it is probably up against some part of the bike and the vibration has rubbed through the insulation. It could even be in the switch on the handlebars.

It is going to be hard to beat the Hub. Great host, great riding, central location, and plenty of people to set it up.

There should be one retaining screw and a clip that holds the housing into the tail housing. Remove the screw and clip and pull out the housing. The driven gear is in the housing. The housing is escentric. When you install a new gear you will have to rotate the housing to make contact with the drive gear. Move just enough to make contact don't tighten and then reinstall the clip in the notches and tighten the retaining screw. Make sure the gear you buy has the same number of teeth or your speedo will be off.

You can build your own for about 50 bucks. I did and I think there is a thread in here somewhere that explains how.

My wife and I rode the dragon in August and just before we got to Deals Gap a huge black bear ran across the road in front of us. It wasn't 100 yds before the store. He bailed off the side of that cliff like he was sliding on snow.

Just take the coil to an electrical supply and they can probably match it. It is a simple magnetic coil.
-
When voltage is applied to the coil it magnetizes the center pole and closes a valve. This is probably the valve the stops the cylinder from coming back down. Just replace the coil. This is a magnetically controlled valve.

Well guys I just got back from the doctor and the ct scan was clear. I am cancer free. They are going to do radiation treatments to make sure they got all the cells but looks like I will live to ride again. Thank you for your prayers.. Curtis
