    Just got back from a ride tonight, the clutch was fine. that gravaty bleed was slick.

    thanks guys , I toped off the fluid last night and tied the clutch handle open a d left thew res cap loose and tried the grav ity way seemed to work. this morning the clutch felt normal. i will check out the bleeder too!

    I just found ou t,y fluid was low sucked air and the clutch was barly working. opend the resvoir to see it was empty. I check my yamaha service manuale but it dosent show where the bledder is. and i havnt looked yet. I figured ill try the gravity bleed opened the resevoir cap and tied the clutch handle in tight. too late to do any more tonight. is there a bleeder like on the brakes to be found

    hey Nathan , one3 thing to note is when your battery is low starting the bike it wont start untill you let off the starter buttoncatching just as you let off. i gueese the low voltage isnt enough for a spark and the starter. so choking her trying to strat crenking can make it flooded also.

    mine has the cd also verticle no problem though with the XM or Ipod i dont use the cd much

    This thread shows what i did, hit a sony marine unit under the dash and added a sony remote on the dash it also has a XM reciever and ive got a Ipod fm modulater on the dash also http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11978&page=2

    Thanks guys, My battery went low and i was testing it with a lighter plud volt meter, that when i noticed it didnt go off with the key. I was wondering if it may have a constant draw cause a drain to be concerned about.

    :confused24:When got my 84 the last owner replace dhte battery with a sealed one and romoved the sensor. this week when my battery seemed to be going out i check it with my charger and got an error saying it had a bad cell. My brother had a new battery he bought but ended up replacing witha gell one along with a hight output genny on his goldwing, so whewn i took my battery out i found the sensor wire hidded and it still has a plug on it. I though maybe i could just replace the sensor. are they still available? or would i need to find one used? Ive never seen one on E Bay

    Nice scoot ScotI had the same color 84 vr 10 years ago. MY stock stereo was giving me trouble. seemed after it got hot the left side would start crackling, poppint and cut out 1/2 way and all the way. I pulled it out and sent it off to Sierra in OH reluctantly just before Thunder by the Bay in Sarasotta so i missed the weekend event http://www.venturers.org/Forum/images/smiles/icon_cry.gif but i looked forward to getting it back and ended my troubles. after i installed it i found out it still had the same trouble. They told me I could Ship it back and they would look into it some more. but i had already spent ovenight shipiing and ther repair fee i didnt fell great about paying to ship it again and wondering if it would be ok after installing it again. So i tole it all out again and bought a marine Sony system a cdx fm 50 sony cd player. I bought it at West marine and wanted the sony RM X55 marine remote but they were out of stock and not due for a week or 2 so i found one at Crutchfield.com I removed the srstock reciever and power amp from the stock mountinf bracketttt and cut and reformed it to accept the Sony mouning piece. this i riveted on so the sony unint had room to slide into tit stillas a bolt would not have clearance for it to slide in. After a little trimming with a dremmel of the plastic dash pieces to reomve the excess plastic on the bottomside to make clearance with the new stereo it fit fine and i bought a black plastic storage box at walmart and cut it to fit into the square ressed section that the stock stereo display used to be. the remote works all the funtions of the sony and a satalite reciever can also be linked to it if i like.     Thanks for the Pics, ive wondered how they would fit with my rear bumper. they seem to be quite a bit lower then stock but they look good. sharp bke btw:thumbsup2: my stock pipe are still good but when they fail looks like Macs wil be it.

    BTW it is normal for the headlight to go out when you hit the starter. Glad alls well now.

    Ive got the J&M unit don showed , I love it. you can get a cord tht will allow you to use your cell also, but on the bike im trying to get away from the phone. hard to do theese days with cells.i like the old days better.

    the first gen has a feature if a low beam burn out the hight beam take over, i just though that this might be a problem thats for the response. is there a difference in the Kriss and Kisan?
