Hi Jeff, im north of Ft myer in Port Charlotte. a couple good placed are the tiki Barr at Stump pass marina in Englewood. another is the White elephant on manasota Key when there a must ride is along beach road the lenght of manasota key, nice and twisty and called canopie road with the tree cover. satalite reception comes and goes.

I was pulling ointo the parking lot down at my marina riding my Venture along with my brother on his wing. a couple guys were wathching as we parked and asked question about the bikes. as they walked away one guy said to the other " not your fathers Yamaha" I didnt tell him my bike was 24 years old and could have been my fathers

For year when i was in NH ihad no garage I built a 10x 10 plywood base with 2x6's and built my own tent shed I used the 1" square tube like pontoons use for the bimini tops. and had a frame every 16" with a pitched top and covered it with a heavy rip stop vinyl covered fiber fabric called Herculite. It had a zip open door and lasted for several years

We had a small brush fire the other day near me on the west coast on Charlotte harbor. today the smoke rolled in from the east and its been awfull. burning eyes.went for a short ride tonight, cut it short it was so stinky. Now bring on hurricane season

So has the quality of Yamaha aftermarket chrome improved back in 98 and my 1st star and my 2001 i had alot of pitting flaking chrome aftermarket pieces. the stock chrome was fine though.
