  1. Man.....I've been asking for one of these shifters since Nov.15/07 (see Want to Buy in classifieds) If anyone else has one they don't need, let me know. I'm interested. Thanks!
  2. I'm definitely in if price is somewhat reasonable. I have models of my former gl1800 Goldwing and Harley Softail. A model of my RSV would sure be great!
  3. Everything you said about the Wing has been my experience exactly. After 1 year I went from a brand new gl1800 to a brand new RSV. The RSV provided for me what the Wing did not: comfort, better looks, and most of all....soul. After 4 years I still find myself sneaking a peak at her hibernating in the garage. What a lovely machine!
  4. But with his luck.....he probably shot blanks.:rotf:
  5. Squid, I'm looking for a stock heel-toe shifter. Is it too late? Thanks, Bartley
  6. Victory Vision =. Just my:2cents:.
  7. I like it! I want one!!
  8. Can't go wrong with a Wing.
  9. Lethbridge yamaha has one: $19500.00 Cdn.brand new just out of the box. Ph. no. 403-328-6977 or 1-800-439-1889 http://www.lethbridgeyamaha.com
  10. I guess the brass monkeys are staying inside!!!:rotf:
  11. Let us know how it compares to the Venture after you've taken her out and stretched her legs somewhat. To me, the VV is still one of the ugliest motorcycles out there:yikes:, but after having sat on one at the Int. Motorcycle Show last week, I must say that it fits me as well as the RSV (maybe even a little better). I can see it being a very comfortable bike to ride and I LOVE those huge floorboards. I guess it's just one of those bikes that has to grow on some of us before it's appreciated as an entire package. Enjoy!
  12. 'Rider' and 'Motorcycle Cruiser'. The odd copy of 'Roadrunner' and 'Roadbike'. Just bought a copy of 'Baggers'....pretty good. I really miss Jamie Elvidge from Motorcycle Cruiser:crying:. Only because she was HOT......I don't care if she eats crackers!!
  13. I'm not American, but I'm more interested in U.S. politics than Canadian politics. Anyways, I took the test and Fred Thompson came out no. 1 for me ( I guess no one is further to the right than Freddy!) Good on ya Freddy!

    Shift happens

How true this prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes. Daniel's words didn't comment on whether this phenomenon was good or bad, only that it would be the state of things at the end time.
  15. After reading all the reviews on the Morgan carbtune, I went ahead and ordered one. It seems that Morgan replaced the carbtune II with the carbtune pro, which supposedly is better. Since all the info. on this site re carb synching is based on using the carbtune II, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a difference between these two models. Thanks.
  16. Me too!
  17. the roadliner/stratoliner are nice bikes with good reviews. Even if they made a bonofide tourer out of it, I wouldn't get one because the gas tank capacity is way too small. Even Harley knows this, as they increased the tank size of the Ultra to 6 gal. (same as the RSV)
  18. What kind are they and where can you gety them?
  19. I just found out that Yamaha is adding EFI to the Road Star for 2008. Maybe the RSV next?...................
  20. Replaced mine on my '04 at about 20000 miles. Hope this new design by Yamaha lasts for a good long time.
  21. Had a 1984 Virago 1000 with all the fancy gold trim & stuff. Sold it last year with 72000 miles on it. The only major thing I did on it was pull the carbs and had them cleaned at 60k. Other than that, just swapped out the plugs every few years, regular oil changes with the cheapest 10/40 M/C oil I could find. The stock mufflers rotted out so I threw on a set of Samsons I bought off ebay. The bike ran like a scalded dog. Never used a drop of oil. Both my sons learned how to ride on that bike and one was still using it alot the last number of years. The only reason he sold it was because of the small tank...pity. He liked touring, and the tank was just tooooo small. But what a great bike it was..and still is. He sold it to a girl. She loves it and it still runs great!
  22. Having owned a few Goldwings in the past, I agree there is a noticable difference in handling between the frame-mounted (fixed) and the fork-mounted fairings. With a frame mounted fairing, you don't feel the weight on the bars, thus more responsive handling. However, you gain alot more plastic (tupperware) and you lose the classic looks of a fork mounted fairing. On the RSV, I don't have a problem riding with one hand on the bar, except for the curves. I find that the fairing on the RSV seems to be lighter and more manueverable than the one on the Harley. Just my opinion.

    Stabil

I've always used Stabil for winter storage. Never had any problems yet.
