I kept the orifice small like 1/8 so just enough oil flows WHEN i machined the OIL pressure outlet bolt! it equals the brake line inner diameter pretty close! and I am happy with it it doesn't leak with fastener glue too top and bottom I HAVE another plan maybe I will implement soon???
-
YES I have done exactly that RUN a line from the pressure gauge outlet up around the back to just over the clutch gear drilled and tapped a hole there and used custm adjustable braided brake cable to do it IT is 70% quieter and gets better over time
-
hi yes very happy so much quieter I even replaced the whole audio system and can hear it NOW It gets lots of oil on the valves i CHECKED ALL GOOD BUT i TEND TO REV HIGH TO MAKE SURE, EVERY SO OFTEN ON A RIDE ALL GOOD yes ! THE INLET IS 3/16 TH AND SAME WITH THE OUTLET BOLT WHICH I MADE The mystery is solved after buying a 500 I basket boondoggle blech OH well smooth sailing from here
-
HI yes I have designed an outside line from a brake line and banjo bolts from the oil pressure outlet to above the clutch drilled a hole and it sprays on the clutch gears /main drive with custom machined bolts=ME lol I noticed if I leaned the bike over to the right and the oil saturated the clutch and I started it like that for 1 hr 35% less noise so WHINE ????? was always from a dry clutch gear all along it is splash fed and the web from the engine is two high for some years I have had excellent success but wrapped my braided lines with aluminum tape two layers just to make sure the exhaust heat is no probe so good luck

Well the colddeest I have ridden is 1 degrees:yikes: on sunny day in Orangeville ,ON and 5 degrees in Otttawa! im in Ottawa Now and the weather sucks, I did not Know you can Ride in sub freezing temps ? DON"T you need a heated garage to keep oil fluid before starting wow amazing I have snowmobile coat and pants that mostly work, so not that cold and my hands never get cold anyways HMM Bravveee, wild and Nutso but so COOL, congrats and good luck, be safe safe have great holiday. go First geny wow. I always wear a hoodie under my helmet to keep the cold off my neck, really helps by the way I have nice trailer I just toot down to whearever NC smokey mountains daytona and Sedona arizona in my Highlander nice and cozy both ways IT seems the smart way for me pull over and poof out for three hrs back into truck stop and chowed down off for another 400 k any ways wow Awsome -
YES thought a lot about it the the whole pressure thing:detective: the line is around 1/8th diameter and 17 inches long the hole in bolt is less then 1/8 to make sure 3/32 so I have noticed no new noise on valves! I have ears like bat SO this WHole job was Absolutely necessary OR new Bike poof that's IT NOW it's smooth like turbine/porche sort of AWESOME quiet and smooooth NICE. :witch_brew:THE whole problem stems from two things the web in the motor where the drive gear is ,is two high so there is not enough splash on this Bloody Clutch Main GEAR THIS is an OIL splash motor as opposed to a high pressure OIL line feed motor anyway I almost drilled a feed hole THERE by the main drive to have more splash on the clutch gear too BUT didn't like the IDEA somehow THIS bike motor was designed to be upright ona center stand when stationary which would bathe the lower part of the clutch at rest! but in current configuration It's leaned way over to lthe left so no oil on clutch IT"S( the oill) is all in the gear casing I have experimented with a right lean stand so that the clutch was resting right and bathing clutch at rest and it was way quieter for an hr of driving THAT"S when I realised this was a nearly dry running clutch and so noisier then need be! I hate the stupid sound of the DUCATI's clutch for instance
-
hi I did actually but it still seemed like it would be better off insulated since in two places it was 2 inches near the exhaust and its not just stainless braid it is plastic coated and you see th braid underneath rubber inside sooo just to be on the safe side and the bolt is now protected too to prevent leakage Thanks for the question and I didn't want the exhaust to heat the oil up inside

YES I Finally achieved the seeming impossible 70% quieter clutch whine I did IT OVER THE LONG winter I PUT in an outside oil line too Using the allen key bolt/cap covering the pressure gauge which i drilled out to half inch bolt size and threaded it ! THEN drilled and threaded the half inch bolt for a 10 mm brake line and ran the line round the back and into the top of the clutch housing right above and directly onto the clutch gears IT works perfectly and is 70% more quiet Just barely noticeable with MY BAT ears lollol YEAAA congrats to me No more whine AHHHHHHH yes thanks for reading I use do it yourself brake line parts to deal with 90 degrees difference outlet to inlet I wrapped it in aluminum tape 3 layers to get rid of any exhaust heat too and painted the aluminum black HI bud thanks for your glowing words yr a good buddy! there is not a lot of pressure so flow is better word and it really really helps
-
thanks I wrapped it in aluminum tape 3 layers to get rid of any exhaust heat too

i'll damn well send the pics for sht sakes NO prob I even had TO WRAP the line in aluminum tape to dodge the heat from exhaust WILD I know Hey JUST because something is so far beyond yr limited capabilities lol just kidding YOU shldn't doubt someones fierce and perhaps crazy dedication lol all the best just kidding but I'll send the pics take a few days I'm not home you'll see sincerely Russ
