  1. Lucretia and I will head out Friday the 5th. We will take two days to arrive, so Saturday afternoon sometime 3 or 4ish when we get there. The trip is just shy of 1000 miles one way. About three years ago I went (by myself) and came home in one day, 16 and half hours straight through. I was ready to climb off the bike when I got home.

  2. I went to Walmart, rv section, they sell a plastic offset little round convex mirror with tape back to stick on the edge of your mirror. it rotates to adjust the angle you prefer. All for less than $5. It did eliminate the blind spots.

Ps I got the idea on this forum many years ago:)

  3. I have a similar problem, there are just not too many bikes that I do not like. Your new scoot sounds awesome. I have had several Yamaha bikes (mostly second gen) and now I am on a GW, and love it, just like I loved most of the bikes before. As long as they keep making different bikes, I am going to try to sample as many as I can.

May you have many happy miles.

  4. My 2cents, Yes, I agree totally, with nylon thumb nuts. I did ride for a couple of years without the seat bolted down at all, it did just fine and nobody knew any different. It is not going to keep you from riding, however it should be addressed eventually.

  5. Hey Eck, I sure did not mean to hijack your post. Love the pics you are posting, That FTS sure was something to visit when they were up and running. I noticed the burnt memorabilia was all on pallets. I wonder if they will move it all to the new location. Those pics of both places sure do not do justice to all the action that goes on during the rally week. Lots of good memories you've brought back to me.

    Thanks

  6. Usually for me is that my mind wanders to other things other than where I am at or doing. Mixed with not being able to recall the last few signs or markers. Time to take a break, 5 hour energy has helped to regain focus, for me with out becoming edgy or shakey.

  7. I put a dab of silicone sealer on mine and was quick to pull the old one and put the new one in. I lost very little coolant, and this worked good for me. The dealer did have to order the new plugs and a I think I used a penny ( I'm cheap) for a spacer til the new plugs arrived.

  8. Just announced today that Full Throttle is moving. Looks like they purchased the Broken Spoke and are going to call it the Pappy Hoel memorial campground. Looks like things are being shaken up a bit at Sturgis this year. Good Ole Tx2sturgis turned me on to this.

  9. Old time method that works for me and those that I have shared it with. Once in a while I get bad enough that I cannot lay down without tasting stomach acid. When this occurs I go and buy a bag of apples, eat ONE at bedtime and maybe more through the day , cause they are good, and I am cured with in a day or so. No more indigestion for six or eight months, then another bag of apples. Very cheap , but very effective for me. A buddy of mine told this to his digestive Dr , The doc replied , If I told everybody that ,hen I would be out of business.

    Worth a try.

  10. Hey Puc,

Me thinks it was the riding your friends bike that gave you great attitude healing process (GAHP). This is known to occur when two wheels are involved and you don't get caught by the Doc (Lots of prayer helps too) , lets not leave out the all important medical assistant Tippy.

Keep going in the right direction.
