  1. I have a GoPro silver and it works great. Took several hours of video riding in Alaska last summer (OK, summer before last). It never missed a beat.
  2. Please do NOT post pictures of said removed gall bladder. RR PS. Heal fast. Hope you're feeling better.
  3. The TPMS system is a really handy feature. With the 665 had it. Oh well. The 550 had done me well for 5 or 6 years. Will keep it around for a couple more. RR
  4. And, if you have room in your shop, spend the extra money and get a HF platform lift. $300 with coupon (Rider magazine and elsewhere). They are great. RR
  5. Yellow. Spend the extra money. It is much more sturdy. RR
  6. Congratulations. Well done. RR
  7. Go with what works for you. I find my clutch doesn't behave as well with synthetic oil as with the dino stuff. Do not and have not ever had the dreaded clutch whine. The clutch just doesn't seem to hook up as well with the synthetic. The clutches are designed by the Yamaha engineers to be used with petroleum (dino) motorcycle oil (does not have the friction modifiers that are in standard Energy Conserving car oil). If the Maxum oil makes your engine and clutch smoother and quieter, that is fantastic that you found the combination. Many others don't ever find this match. Thanks for letting us know about this new lube. I was not aware of this brand previously. Although, at the cost, I will stick with the white jug from Walmart.

    WOW!!!

2008 Suzuki GXR1000 for sale. Gently used on Saturday poker runs and rides through the country. Only 450 miles. Will need new tires, chain, and sprockets. Priced for a quick sale. RR
  9. Only if not aimed correctly. Oh, BTW, this is a 4 year old thread. Just sayin' RR
  10. +1 on the Fuzeblok. Really nice product with the relay built in. Switched vs. non-switched circuitry is determined by where you place the fuse. Was developed by the late Curt Gran. Made in the USA (at least it was when Curt was making them - assume it still is). http://fuzeblocks.com/ RR
  11. Brad, Hope your brother pulls through OK. Not good getting hit in the rear end with a front end loader. It isn't designed for that. Prayers being sent. RR
  12. Reading comprehension is hard. You did say in the original thread you were working with 32mm carbs. I looked right past that. Good luck with the upgrade. RR
  13. Are you witnessing a leak? While they may look cracked, the carb boots are multilayered. Mine look horrible but are completely sealed. If you actually have a leak, I would replace with new, not used. RR
  14. Not over Craigslist. CL is a cash only business. There are no protections like with eBay.
  15. BB, That is good to know. When I go on a ride with my bride, we top out about 400 lbs (265 me, about 135 soaking wet for the wife). She brings enough stuff that we generally pull the trailer instead of pack the saddle bags / trunk. RR
  16. I'm kind of a big guy. HD for me - set up for about 320 lbs (that is with full pack and aux fuel - not all me). RR
  17. Hagon shock on order. In stock and shipping today. RR
  18. Just as an aside, I suggest you do a relay bypass of the ignition to lessen the stress on the ignition switch. There are some off-road amber LED lamps available. http://stores.homestead.com/hstrial-QualiRegResou/StoreFront.bok You may need to email them as the amber is new and may not be on the website (didn't take the time to dig into the site). However, I haven't seen amber LEDs available in the PAR36 size for the Yamaha light bar. RR
  19. Thanks guys. I will need to see if it is in stock so I can get it put on while still on the lift. Didn't need this in the budget this month. RR
  20. Yup, looks like after 111,000 trouble free miles, the rear shock on RedRider has bit the dust. Had a flat rear tire and I was checking if I could see the hole. While inspecting I noticed some fluid on the ground in front of the rear tire. Reddish color. Only one thing that can be. Looked up at the base of the shock and there was a drip of fluid there. It's gone. Lived a good life. OK, now. Works or Hagon? RR PS. Found the hole. Small pin hole almost in the center. Tomorrow night I will plug it. Should last me until I swap it out right before Butt Lite 7.
  21. Mechanics pics. Use the one with the right angle tip to run around the inside of the boot. Then pry out with a screwdriver. Use the right angle pic when putting them back on also. You have to make sure they don't fold down when putting the carbs back on. Good luck. RR
  22. Hmmmm. Interesting thought. That only leaves a question of "Would I have enough money to buy more motorcycles after subtracting alimony?" RR
  23. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sunday paper always has a 25% off coupon in the HF flier. Used it Friday to get a small jack and again today (used new coupon from Sunday) to get a metric micrometer. Rider magazine has a 20% off coupon. RR
  24. Think I am going to ask for one for Christmas. Problem I have is where I want to put it is where my son has his drum set. Sure don't want him moving that noise maker into the house. RR
  25. Might be a lot of usage for a relatively cheap tire changer. Might want to look at a No-Mar changer since the difference in cost wouldn't be that significant spread among 11 folks. It's a little heavier duty. Just my $0.02. RR
