  1. Take the light bulb out and loosen the clamping nut in the housing. You can then adjust the targeting. Tighten back down and replace the bulb. RR

  3. Backed the Venture out of the garage so I could get the attic pull down ladder extended. Took out the clay pidgeon thrower and moved the Venture back in. Went shooting guns with my brother, my 2 boys, his boy, and an exchange student he is housing. The exchange student was quite amazed at the arsenal laid before him. 44 Mag 8" barrel Taurus revolver, Korean War era .308, couple of 22s, lots of shotguns of 12 and 20 gauge. We shot until we were out of ammo. We started with a lot of ammo. Good times were had by all. The exchange student will have a good story to tell back home (Norway). RR

+1 on the heavy duty springs. Took care of the issue with my clutch. RR
  5. Here you go. This should take care of the locking document box. Aerostich License Plate Locking Compartment
  6. I don't know. If my Venture is on a trailer, it's being stolen. RR
  7. Oh yeah, it sure is. When doing the title work, I did something I have never even thought of doing before. I declared the purchase price as MORE than I actually paid. Put down $2000 instead of the actual $500. The additional $75 in taxes are worth it to keep the gubment out of my hair. All told, we have a little under $900 in it ($500 purchase, $100 gas to go get it, $200 to title/plate, $100 battery). It's value is $3000+ all day, every day - not including the $1000+ in add-ons. A screaming deal. RR
  8. Just got my shipping notification. Should be here Friday for weekend installation. RR
  9. Update - As hoping to avoid - there were title issues. Apparently, in AZ the seller needs his signature notarized. (It still has an AZ title. The previous owner did not retitle it in NM when he moved). Son contacted PO and he is willing to do this, but is heading off to Peru (country) for a couple of months. Will need to wait until he gets back. HOWEVER, WI does not have this requirement. Signed (un-notarized) title was mailed up to me and the bike is now titled and plated in WI. Titled in the name RedRider -OR - RedRiderSon. That way, he can get it retitled in AZ by himself (or sell it) since it only needs one of our signatures to release. Therefore, the circle has closed and my son now has a perfectly running and legally titled/plated KLR for $500 (plus a couple hundred in tltle/plate/tax fees). It just took a couple of weeks longer than expected. RR
  10. It isn't made by Lucas by any chance? RR
  11. Let me check in the shop. I seem to recall I lost one and took the other off. If so, we can make a deal. RR
  12. Danaman, Use a 10 second delay-on relay instead of a standard relay. This allows you to start the bike without killing the HID. RR
  13. Just purchased a set of these to replace the PAR36 lights in the light bar. With changing all my other lights to LEDs, I should have enough power to fire these full time. 3200 Lumens - each! Not just looking to 'SEE' deer on the side of the road - looking to 'VAPORIZE' deer on the side of the road. http://www.rigidindustries.com/led-lighting/62010 Will report back once received and installed. RR
  14. Interesting. I haven't seen a RDL with the step down 'Goldwing' type seat back. My RDL doesn't have that. However, if you ever intend to try for another Iron Butt run, you will LOVE the RDL. RR
  15. Another thing to use with these small orifices is a small guitar string. They also work on the small carburetor holes. RR
  16. What seat is that? I don't recognize it. RR
  17. Barnett makes heavy duty springs for their clutch kit. Standard springs are what are supplied normally. Upgraded to the HD versions a couple of years ago after the standards started slipping. No slip since. RR
  18. This, unfortunately won't work with a phone or the CB as there is no way to get the helmet microphone connected through to the mic input. Otherwise, for streaming music from a bluetooth enabled smartphone/iPod, looks great. RR
  19. If you lived closer, I have a Vulcan parts bike I would give you. It would have all the components needed to fix this. Oh well. Good luck. RR
  20. I would have a different shop rebalance the tire. These guys aren't very confidence inspiring. RR
  21. The PWC instructions were done on Pacific time. You are on the east coast and need to compensate a couple of hours. Other than that, the other info on here is more helpful. (I did mine in neutral) RR
  22. The issue may be as simple as the screws coming loose on the gas cap. IIRC there are two screws on the bottom that need to be tight or the locking mechanism doesn't work well. RR
  23. No, the BR cable does not allow you to hear the GPS and the radio at the same time. There is no way to listen to the bike's AM/FM radio and hear the GPS in a wired system. There may be a way to do it using Bluetooth though. RR
