Very nice, Art. Love the colors....and bet it hauls balls too!!

Hey Dennis, I think the Time Out factory is pretty close to Leadwolf56 (Kevin). Maybe he could give you more info on them. I do know that they have been around for many years. I have seen several of their motorcycle camper trailers, and they are pretty nice. Joe

Squealing Sound
FreezyRider replied to Royal Star's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
My last RSV did this.....it would come and go. Couldn't figure out what it was, but it sounded like it was coming from the area of my left foot. One night coming home from supper it started squealing really loud, and my wife said she thought it was coming from the back, not from the front....even though it still sounded to me like it was from my front left. Well, I put it up on my lift, started it up and began running through the gears. It was immediately obvious that it was coming from the rear end. I started tearing into it expecting to find that the rear drive had a bad bearing, but instead found it to be the rear wheel bearing on the right side. Nothing there but bits and pieces. I could not believe that it was still driveable with a bearing being that bad. New bearings on both sides solved the problem. Don't know if yours is similar, but is something to check. Joe -
Yeah, you can do it ..... IF Boomer's pygmies are smiling on you that day. If you pull the left side covers, then remove the left pocket, you can use a coat hanger to fish the wire up under the left side of the shelter to get to the pocket area. You may get lucky and find an open 'channel' first time, or you may have to poke around awhile. But you should be able to do it. Just don't force it if you are feeling resistance. Joe

I need a little help or advice on a goldwing problem
FreezyRider replied to GS51's topic in Honda Goldwing Tech Talk
Just what I was going to suggest. They know the 1200 better than Honda ever did, you'll get great help there. Joe -
My wonderful wife bought me a pair of the Tourmaster Synergy heated gloves for Christmas. They are so warm that even without turning the heat on my hands stay warm with temps in the lower 40's. Love 'em. And, just this morning I ordered the Tourmaster jacket liner too. Wife already has one and it has totally changed her cool weather riding experience. Can't wait to get mine.

Good goin', Dennis. Great color, almost as good as RED!! Hey, I'd suggest you give http://www.cyclemaxohio.com a try for your accessories. They are really great folks, and great prices too. Not all that far from you either. Can't wait to check out the new Wing on Memorial Day! Joe & Donna

Oh...Cyclemax has them too, but you have to buy both sides. Don't know if they are cheaper than Kury's price.... http://cyclemaxohio.com/1800_chrome

If you are willing to wait awhile, watch ebay. I've seen them pop up there once in a while.

Comparing the Strato/Roadliner AND a Vulcan 2000
FreezyRider replied to BigBoyinMS's topic in General Tech Talk
Just so happens that one of my riding buddies has the V2k, another has a Strat. I have ridden both, I don't think there is a lot of difference in power....not enough that I could say for sure which one was the winner in that area. It does seem to me that the Strat handles better in curves and at low speeds but that is just my opinion. You may be interested in this....my buddy's Vulcan is presently at the dealer getting new rings and valve work. At 50,000 it started using oil at the rate of a quart every 6-7 hundred miles. He bought this bike new from the dealer doing the work. All service has been done at the dealer, and always according to the pm schedule. Nothing but OEM filters and oil. The dealer called Kawasaki to complain about this since they know the history of the bike. Guess what Kawasaki told them......"This is normal for the big V-twin" and they won't stand behind it. Guess who won't ever be buying a Kawasaki??? Good luck on your decision. -
Carb Synch with new gauges
FreezyRider replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Search ebay for "carb synchronizer"......a ton of them there. That's where I bought mine. -
Just keep watching Pinwall's listings. They often have had them in the past. I bought one from them, price was $4.95......plus about $13 shipping! Or, call Pinwall. They often have things that aren't yet listed. EDIT: Here is a black one from Pinwall. Pretty cheap too! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Royal-Star-Venture-XVZ1300-IGNITION-COVER-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19bde17110QQitemZ110559850768QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_5490wt_939
