I had a 71 Triumph Bonneville identical to your friends in the mid 70's had no
Idea it was capable of 200 plus. Modified mine for the flat track love the sound of those twin cylinders in a hard pull coming out of a tight turn. Tuff motorcycles.....
Be careful with the chrome chevron piece or better yet get someone who has removed it before . Reason the little tabs are easily broken---just use little pressure and work from center out.
I sure miss Dan, with all respect to his family does anyone know the pending result or cause of his accident? Originally they said it could be medical and it was being investigated. Just not the same on here without Yammer Dan.
The only thing I see that he probably doesn't need is the extra helmet hanging on on the side. But, maybe someone could ride up top side next to the reserve red gallon and half gas can. I actually envy this modern Day Explorer free and full of adventure seeing enjoying as you travel this beautiful land.
Prayers are up will be thinking about your condition. Wife, who has Afib. And a heart monitor implanted since January is adjusting just fine. Anyway, theirs a lot of us riders who are organ donors... just keep in mind you have options.
Cowpuc I was just making reference to the Pledge of Allegiance was adopted by Congress in 1945 and added Under God in 1954 those people being part of the Greatest Generation. We all should remember the Native Americans paid a tremendous price for us taking over their land.
I've all but quite ordering tires off the internet just on account of crap like this happening. Peace of mind of seeing the tire before it's mounted is worth what saving the internet yields or the aggervation of processing a return.
Really great pics. Don't see much work or maintenance going on though. Guess everyone kinda aged out exploring maintenance issues and rather sit talk and chill out.
Go as fast as FEAR will allow believe me your bike can handle speed. I had an 05 Venture that was an Adrenaline Pusher and I hate too say this a "Harley ego buster".
The Springfield Blue paint on my 14 Indian Chieftain was about the sorriest paint on any bike I ever owned. Notice after riding about a month even hard shell bugs left nicks in front fender. I think they use old acricllic enamel paint on their bikes. Anyway, got rid of that noisy lifter hard shifting Polaris Indian never to go back.
This is really hard to take in .... Dan from what I've read here with his responses to threads was the real deal. He will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to his family. RIP Dan our friend.
They also are installed in Harley's but under HD's name of course for that extra hundred dollar bill. I buy mine at batteries plus exact same AGM battery for 90 bucks.
