Sounds like loose battery leads or also the ground terminal has become loose at the frame. WildBill

Yes I do have a excellent pair of passenger floor boards off an 06 Venture. A couple years ago I installed a pair of Kuryakln Transformers for the Wife she loves them on those long trips. Just PM and we will go from there. Bill:)

I think I found the bike to replace my Venture
WildBill1 replied to Jactana's topic in Watering Hole
Don't think I'll give up the Venture for a cross between a BMW and a Victory. Bill:whistling: -
Does anyone know where I could obtain a free Harley Service Manuel for a 05 Harley Roadglide? Want to do some re-caming. After riding the 06 Venture like too have the same sensation of speed on the Roadglide.

What MC jack for the RSV?
WildBill1 replied to Mike G in SC's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Mike, Craftsman Red is hard to beat for the money. I think your bike has been there too. Bill, -
My name is William Little, "WildBill1", and I want to extend a word of thanks to all the members on this site and how fortunate it is to be a part of such a talented and innovative group of people. Matt Strickland, "Foyerboy" gave me the opportunity to work on his 99 RSV recently--- without the vast amount of information from this site its doubtful this task could have been completed. I want to especially thank Kent, "V7Goose" for all his excellent Tech Threads and bike knowledge he so freely passes on to us. Thanks John, "Jlh3rd" for having the courage too toss that lame cassette player and replace it with useful gauges. David, "Ponch" you inspired us even more by flush mounting them with even more options. We miss you, "Ponch" hope your recovery is going good. Thanks to Don, "Freebird" for all the countless hours you must put into this site too keep it going and us happy.

Lary, your stainless steel horn bracket is finished first class. The only thing is that the bracket is approximately 5/8" to short on the ground bolt leg requiring the use of a spacer. Restoring a 99 RSV for a customer and found the above today. I personally think spacers are tacky. RIDER FIRST, HARLEY OWNER SECOND.......

Rainsuit is in left bag. Where do you want too meet-up, I'm retired?

Just lowered my 06 Venture front forks 1.5 inches had already installed the Barons lowering kit on the rear. Now the bike is finally level and handles like a Harley Ultra without the engine heat. I ride alot on the BlueRidge Parkway and use the scenic parking lots to park which are not level ground by no means. Does anyone know of another Yamaha kickstand only shorter that can bolt on an 06 Venture. Please don't recommend the Baron shorty stands--- they don't have the ground foot like Yamaha.

clutch and brake levers for gorilla hands?
WildBill1 replied to Bobcatpat's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I can't believe Yamaha sets the clutch lever free play at 1" or greater before it engages the clutch. Does anyone have away to adjust this over amount of free play? I've owned Goldwings and HD Ultra., they all had away of adjusting the amount of clutch lever travel.
