  1. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this kind of wear patern from a rear e3 , i color one of the dips in the tread, tire has around 17,000 miles on it. its more on the left side of the tire. right side shows just a little wear .

  4. I have seen these things run like crap if the air filter box is not hooked back up right,or someone has drilled extra holes in the lid to get more air to them.all the rubber boots have to be seal up to each carb.

I have a 1st gen with the whine, been driving me nuts for 6 years now, i tryed to get a (i) basket but yamaha would only sell me the (H) basket and said it would take care of the problem,and it did for about 1,000 miles,after that it has just got worse,so now i just keep the rpms above the whine zone.

  15. How about doing a clutch spring upgrade on a 1st gen? and how to bleed them out.
  16. I cut mine down to fit, i was thinking with out it in there it might cause the ears to break off the motor.I really like the way the bike feels after i got the solid mounts in.

  20. Your front springs are shot, i had the same problem, i think the progressive spring cost around 75 bucks and are well worth it.
