  2. You know that it only powers up in the acc key position? Need to get a test light and check across all the fuses in the box,two fuse boxes one on top of the battery has old glass fuses and the other is smaller that has the newer blade style fuses, should be on top front side of battery, you could also check for power at the class system it self with the key on acc.
  3. I would say its coming from the exhaust colector,The little box under the bike where all the pipes come together, mine was rotted out bad and had to get a good used one, once i took off mine and it just fell apart, i see them on ebay sometimes.A new one runs around $375 to $400 from the dealer.

  7. I remember reading a thread on hear about a noise like that and they sinked the carbs and the noise went away,i have heared that noise from the pump before but it was always hot and rpms were below 900, i just figured it was the gears knocking at low rpms between cylinder fires.I had Squid sink my carbs and dont think i have heared that noise again, but my idle is set at 1000 rpms too.

  16. Well im not so sure they are faster.(this will get Dan going good LOL) A buddy of mine had a 83 and i had a 94 dr650 at the time, i had no problem getting him in the 1/4 mile with the 650. a few years later he got a 89 1300 venture.I could get him out of the hole but that was it, so im not sure if the 83 wasnt tuned good or what? After the 1/4 the 83 would come around me like is wasnt moving at all.I think we need to head down to the strip and find out.
