  4. Drops to 8.4 volts sounds like battery is shorting out or bad conections, could be the starter is shot but i would start with the battery and then check all the grounds and postive conections.have you tryed jumping it off of a car?
  5. Is it ok if i just put one foot on the scale?
  6. I know a good way to raise some bucks, have Big Tom bring his thongs and Beer 30 can bring his colection and we have a auction. The high bidder won't have to see them model the thongs. The rest of us might be blind for life after this.
  7. I have one, just give me your address,i will ship it to ya and you can mail me back the shipping cost.
  8. When i first got my bike the cc would not work because clutch handle was wore out and not keeping the clutch switch closed, the other problem was when i would set the cc it would set but it would slowly loose speed, found vacume line cracked on the cc vacume pump.installed new hose and all was good.
  9. check your bulb and socket, might be just the bulb shorting out.
  10. :hihi:Just pop it up on the center stand,Oh yeah i forget you 2nd gen guys dont have that option.:rotfl::rotfl:
  11. I am now running the Rotella blue jug synthetic in a 2nd gen. I been using rotella synthetic in mine for the last 10,000 miles or so,seems to be working good, I think the weight is 5-40, i get it at walmart. some people says it will cause oil leaks on hi mileage engine but i have no leaks ,My bike has 110,000 miles on it and still going strong.
  12. But they still have a cassette deck :crackup:
  13. Thats all i got to do to loose weight fast:banana:

  15. Leadwolf is in dream land again, If it wasnt for me he would have never know what a 400 mile M&E was,He still be stuck riding on the motercycle in front of the supermarket where i found him beging for quarters so he could take another ride.

  17. So uncle Moose,Are you gonna give me your old bike?I would be more than happy to take it off your hands.Did i tell ya your my new best friend. Hey where are the pictures of the new ride,You know the rules:no-no-no:
  18. I know the last time i mess with bleeding them out i had a hard time,on mine i had to use a hand vacume pump ,open the rear bleeder and hook the vacume hose up to it and got the fluid to flow then i was able to get them to build up some presure.then went to the front and did the same thing.
  19. Did you know that the rear brake is linked with the left front brake,it also will need to be bleed out ,and it has one more bleeder at the top of the forks for the rear brakes also that need to be bleed.it takes alot of pettal pumps to get all the air out of the system.you should be able to find a rubber dromit at the parts store, like advance auto has a brand called (help) they have all kinds of dromits and do dads.
  20. I have been a mechanic for over 20 years, and i would say over the years i have worked around 50 guys that were ASE certified and some that were not.out of that 50 i would say maybe 5 of them i would trust to work on any of my stuff! My dodge truck is still under factory warranty and really dont think i would take it in to have any of them hacker at my truck.
  21. You can find problems with all of them if you dig for it,and i find alot of the problems are that people beat the hell out of them and then get mad when it breaks. I say pick out the truck that fits you and your needs the best. I bought me a 06 Dodge ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi. The best truck i have ever had,but im sure someone some where has had problems with them too.so far mine pulls anything i hook up to it and get good milage for a full size truck.Im very happy with it.
  22. Good little truck,The fuel mileage isnt all that good,My dad has a 98 with around 60,000 miles 2.5 4 cylinder 5 speed 2wd. It gets around 20 mpg.
