  1. looks like it has a camp ground, you have to go though reserve America to book a camping spot, i notice a few of the camp spots have already been reserved so the sooner the better on nailing down the dates.
  2. what about coolant temp, have you used your temp gun to check it. i wonder if the coolant system could have a air pocket causing a hot spot ? the manual says it hold 3.7 qt. Or possible water pumps isn't moving coolant. even if it had a lean cylinder being a water cooled engine one would think it could take the extra heat away except what comes off of the header pipe. what did your plugs look like did you take any pictures of them?
  3. Wow i cant say what would be causing all that much heat the only time i ever get any heat from mine is in stop and go traffic and the engine fan comes on, and it has to be real hot out before that even bothers me, yeah i say check your plug for any gas fouled, theses bikes run pretty good on a few dead holes. where are you riding this bike at? ( location)

  11. this is how i attach mine to the floor, even if you cant do it this way, it still has to be mounted to the floor, just get a throw rug to cover up the holes.
  12. These bikes wont run past idle with out the air filter installed and the intake system has to be leak free. one little leak will make them run funny.

  20. I have a assortment of metric o-rings big box that i used, its a good thing to buy when u have one of these bike, i got mine from ebay, make sure you clean all that dirt out of there before you take it apart, dont want that down in the engine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/419pc-Universal-O-Ring-Assortment-Set-Metric-Kit-Automotive-Seal-Rubber-Gasket-/361481546482?hash=item5429faaaf2:g:-HUAAOSwoydWr7Tn
  21. Yes remove the line and pull that twinkie housing, i think the line has reusable copper washers, the cover has 2 rubber gaskets and there is a stand pipe that has some o-rings under the housing, the housing is the easy part, its just getting the rest of the stuff out of the way to do it, when i did mine, i also got rid of the pvc vent line that runs up to the air filter box and installed a filter that skydoc 17 sells here in the classifieds http://www.venturerider.org/forum/photopost/showproduct.php?product=427&title=first-gen-crankcase-vent-filter-upgrade&cat=17
  22. Thats a fun job, pull fake tank cover, both side covers, drain coolant, remove battery and tray, pull air filter and box, removed carburetors, and a oil line on top of that cover that is leaking, has a few o-rings and 2 rubber gaskets if i remember right, lots of beer and cigarettes if you smoke, your gonna need them. and take your time.
