  1. OK Here's the problem. Did the Hoppy 5 to 4 conversion thing (LED Friendly), lights on trailer are incandescent. Everything is good to the plug. Hook up the trailer and only have running lights for about 20 seconds then fuse blows. Cannot get signals or brake lights, signal too weak. Tested on the cager everything works fine. My question is will a powered isolator boost signal to turn and brake lights or should I just switch to LED's:depressed:
  2. Googled your error and found this. Might help http://www.computerforum.com/174333-file-c-windows-system32-msvcrt-dll-could-not-opened.html
  3. Bought the Grabit set one day at my local Do It Best, threw it in my tool drawer and forgot about it till one day tried to remove the brake reservoir cover on my old Honda and rounded out the screw heads. Got out the cordless and the Grabit set. Took about 20 seconds to remove the 2 screws. Very impressed with it
  4. I have an above ground pool with an Intex salt water system. Love it. Set up pool 3 months ago, turned on system and have not added any chemicals since. Water crystal clear. PH, Chlorine, copper levels perfect. Filter runs 6 hours a day, chlorinator runs 3 hours a day. Saline content is somewhere around .03%
  5. Be sure to read the warning label thoroughly. Do not use in an inclosed space and absolutely do not use around any source of heat or spark. I have seen it launch a 55 gallon drum several hundred feet into the air
  6. Also be wary if you check the vacuum pump using Yamaha procedures. It says pump must hold so much vacuum for so many seconds. Mine didn't so they changed it. When it still didn't solve the problem they checked the new pump and it was the same as the old one. They said evidently the procedure wasn't worth the paper it was written on
  7. Just got my bike out of the shop after 3-1/2 weeks for the same problem. First they took the fringe off, then checked all the switches. Then they rebuilt the carbs and changed the carb stacks (cracked). They then changed the vacuum pump. next they changed the control module. None of the above helped. They finally changed the throttle position sensor and the problem was solved and all it cost me was a handshake and an apology from them for the delay.

  9. That's a great bike. I have an 82 model with 22,000 miles on it ( got to sell it though to get a trailer for my RSV). I have a list of sites at home on my laptop i'll post tonight where you can find new parts, used parts and just about anything else for that bike.
  10. Lots of great info on lane position, lights, etc. I'm one of those It's my lane and i"m gonna use the whole thing kind of guys. One thing I didn't read about though is sound. I'm installing a dual air horn on my RSV like I had on my classic CB750C Honda. When one of those brain damaged cagers decides to do something stupid, a good blast of a semi horn in their ear usually tends to get their attention
