  1. Apparently I am search challenged.. I have searched everywhere I can think of and can't seem to find the answer I just put together my bike trailer and will be ordering the hitch and Hoppy adapter/isolator. I also plan to mount a fuse box. I am thinking there is enough room under the seat of my 2005 RSTD to mount the fuse block but where does everyone tie into the wiring for the Hoppy?? I have seen a couple of threads where people menitoned splicing into the area at the tail light... Sorry for the questions, just get a little paranoid when messing with the electrical system and don't waht to fry anything.. Anything with pics would be great... Thanks.. Robert C.
  2. I have a 2005 RSTD and have been searching everywhere, and probably found the answer, but I am one that needs the answer in plain site.. What is the size of the oil drain plug washer (or gasket as I have seen listed in various parts manuals)? I don't need one right away but would like to keep a few on hand just in case.. Thanks, Robert C.
  3. Wanted to thank Buddy Rich for the quality knee wind deflectors I received from him last week... Mounted them and rode the bike in to work today.... Wind turbulence way down, I think I'm gonna like 'em.....
  4. Got my knee wind blockers in the mail yesterday.... Can't wait to try them out... Thanks for the quick shipment Buddy....
  5. Well, I went ahead with the Utopia backrest. Glad I did.... Made a world of difference. Bob at utopia got the seat out when he said he would, it arrived two days later... Couldn't wait, wen straight out ang installed it. Took longer to gather the tools than to get the bracket mounted. Hve taken a couple of rides with it and man what a difference!!.... Next will be to get the seat modified...... It is comfortable, may just go with some type of pad, haven't decided yet...
  6. Folks, Sorry for all the questions... Will the service manual for the RSV work for the 2005 RSTD as well?? I have done a ton of Google searches for one and I must not be doing it right. Haven't found one yet.... Thanks Robert
  7. Thanks for the trailer wiring info... I do plan to add a trailer sometime in the next couple of months.... I am considering the Harbor Freight one..... I am more into functionality than looks... The companies offering trailers for bikes are quite proud of them. I have no doubt they are well built, but I figure if I can pick one up for under 500.00 I am a happy camper...
  8. Thanks gents for the quick replies..... Now, I just need to butter up the finance officer to allow me to ge the module ordered.... Soon...
  9. I am thinking of adding the Kuryakyn RTB module to my 2005 RSTD.... I do not have an owners manual and the one i downloaded doesn't appear to have the wire colors for the brake and turn signals on the rear... Does anyone know where I can find this information?? Thanks, Robert C.
  10. Still doesn't make my choice any easier.. I may just go with the Utopia backrest... The RSTD seat really isn't that bad.. It's definitely more comfortable that my stock Honda seat....
  11. I am looking to get a seat and backrest for my RSTD... I have a Mustang seat on my VTX1300 and I like it, but I recently sat on an Ultimate seat and man was it nice..... I was wondering if I could get some feedback, good, bad, or indiferent from anyone that has had either of these on their RSTD or RSV.. Thanks, Robert C.
