Welcome to the PGR family! Everything said is of my thoughts as well. It's always amazed me when the family comes out to thank us... and they are the ones we are honoring as well as the fallen soldier. I tear up frequently as well.

Glad to hear it wasn't worse than it was. I think about stuff like that happening to me so very often.

Reshired: I'm looking forward to hearing from your road tests. I think that djh3 and I are in the same boat with the intercom thing... djh3: I'd like to hear more of what you come up with as well. I was exiled to Wichita Falls (we spell it with a B...) for 4 years. So I was around there too. But we knew that even if we never got back to Longview (North East Texas), Longview would always still be 'home'.

I've been reading around and trying to determine which way to go. When I bought my 2008 RSV, the intercom suggested by the Yamaha shop in Wichita Falls, TX, was a chatterbox. We both use flip visor, 3/4 helmets by HJC. I normally ride with the visor up, because of the windshield, but she normally rides with her's down. I've found that I hate it. The sound coming through my speakers is 'tinny' and I keep having to ask my wife, "what?" I'm trying to determine if and what system I should change to. Bluetooth and what brand or model, and wired, and what brand. I see advantages and disadvantages of both, even without my knowing the specifics. The flexability of not being 'tied' to the bike of Bluetooth, but loosing any use of the CB. (In 4 years, I've only used the CB once though... but if ever I want it...) But wondering if the quality of the sound is that much better with a wired set...??? Any experiences and thoughts would be appreciated.

An Arab enters a taxi cab in Dallas , Texas .......... Once he is seated he asks the cab driver to turn off the radio because he must not hear music as decreed by his religion and; in the time of the prophet, there was no music, especially Western music, which is music of the infidel's and certainly no radio ........ So the cab driver politely switches off the radio, pulls over to the side, stops the cab and opens the back door. The Arab asks him: “What are you doing man?” The Texan answers: “In the time of the prophet there were no taxis. So get your ass out and wait for a camel.” You gotta love Texas

Name of Restaurant Silver Spur (also known as 'Texas Traditions') Street Address 607 Broadway Ave City Gladewater State or Province TX Website (Optional) - Quality of Food Fantastic Quality of Service Fantastic Biker Friendly? (Parking, Trusted Location, Etc.) Yes Kind of Food? (Mexican, Chinese, etc.) Diner Alcohol Served? No Additional Comments Both times we've gone so far, the food has been incredible. I've had the top sirloin both times, and it was so good I didn't need any steak sauce or salt. Both I and my wife are very impressed. If you go at night, look right next to Economy Inn. The sign 'Silver Spur' is not lit. The parking lot is run down a bit so just word to the wise. Some online reviews state that it's way to smoky in there, but we don't smoke, sat in the non-smoking section, and didn't think the smoke was ever to bad.
