The MAYTAG was wired with 4 wires. The 4th was the safety ground. If you wired it back 3 wire and at the very least did not install a "bonding strap" then you have a potential hazard. Though by Code this is NOT allowed at the very least understand it is a safety issue and you definetly should install a bonding strap. I am not trying to beat a dead horse but Id hate to know the potential is there for you or you wife or kids to get lit up and didnt say anything. It is simple really. If the MAYTAG had more then 3 wires in the cord when you bought it then it was wired for a 4 wire plug. Referance the picture below. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1dd09b3127ccefcecaefcc8c500000030O08AZtmjJo0aOAe3nws/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/

Much appreciated. I wont go away that easy, but I have this "thing" I have to deal with. There is nothing I would not do for my family.

Just making sure the new dryer plug only has 3 spades. If it had 4 spades you would need to do some serious rewiring in your home. Just being honest here I have never seen or heard of 4 wires and 3 prongs.
-
was this a 3 or 4 wire plug? Your old one a 3 wire, new one a 4 wire??? If you HAD a 3 wire connector and your new dryer requires a 4 Wire connector you should know in the US the wiring code does not allow the 4 wire to be converted to 3 wire.

Looks like an additional 23,000 Illinois employees are under the gun this time. Cannot blame Caterpillar but it would definetly hurt this towns economy. Hope they get something worked out. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110328/bs_nm/us_caterpillar

royalstar09 replied to Bert Buckley's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You darksiders have more nads then me. I wont opt out of a TRAILER tire for a utility TRAILER, no way I could ever bring myself to go to the "dark side". Not knocking ya one bit, just saying i dont have the desire for such a change.- 23 replies

So, a man walks into the service department...
royalstar09 replied to Dave77459's topic in Watering Hole
I am floored they did not just provide a assembly. Would seem like their best route would have been to have the blown engine as an assembly to investigate. I had a 225 HP Evinrude that had an internal vacuum leak. "JUST A VACUUM LEAK" and BRP didnt mess with it. They provided a fully dressed long block to the dealer and ordered the fully dressed long block returned for them to tear down. 3 week turn around and I had a brand new fully dressed long block ready to go. I have to be honest that this is not the only thread I have seen that makes me "slightly" nervous about the warranty on my bike. -
I have a tom tom one xl and love it EXCEPT for in severe cold conditions. It has a wild screen for about 15 minutes until it "warms up". May be getting old not for sure. Other then that I like it for simple directions. Easy online updates. Of course there are many TomTom models. Without knowing that dont have high expectations and you will be fine.

Ooh ooh oooh and dont forget the cassette player, bet he dont have one of them... :stirthepot: :rotf: sorry couldnt resist.

Id begin with a nice "warm" soapy bath with dawn unscented dish soap. You would be amazed at how it works. This is what I would consider secondary smoke so it is just smoke that "settled" onto the surface without being "set in". If the dawn dont yield the results you like (which it should) their is a super line of products from WINSOL that will do anything you need. Google Winsol for locations on where to buy in your area. Be sure to provide a good wax on paint and chrome, and treatment of any leather items after cleaning.

Ill keep my comment simple. Just let him jump ya and dont crack the throttle. When neither have had a wreck from racing you can make him proud and tell him youd have whipped me anyway, no since in making ya prove it
-
I could offer some help but it would help to know where the smoke come from. Was it in a room filled with smoke from a woodstove, or the garage burnt down, or the bike caught on fire?? On painted surfaces, leather, chrome???

For me 30 miles is the same as 3,000. It I would not trust it to go 3,000 I wont go 30. For 20 yrs as a auto tech I treated every vehicle as if my Mother was driving it no matter who owned it, and my as if I was leaving on a round the world trip at any time. There is nothing borderline with me. Its either completly ready to go 100% of the time, or it dont go at all until its fixed.

In my opinion this is the best artist, and song of the century. 100% American "flag with a rattlesnake and a simple statement DONT TREAD ON ME" Old School American History there. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65RjpmfrjPc]YouTube - Aaron Lewis- Country Boy[/ame]

I had a similar incident with a Harley Davidson site I signed up on to have access to a vender for a buddy of mine. Not only did I get hammered for not being a Harley owner, once I "posted man that stinks" because a vender was out of a seat back I wanted I recieved numerous IM's about my "language" and so I requested they delete my account. Have not been back there.

OK so if looked up Dano's profile. It appears the trailer is in Indianapolis In and you say it needs to get to Portland Or. . I also assume it is a motorcycle trailer? As in one that you pull behind a motorcycle? I know I am fairly new here and others may be thinking the same thing, we may be able to help out but without knowing peoples names and where they live up to this point I simply did not know where it was and where it was heading. Anyway I am in Northeast Missouri if I can help in any way. But I do not have a hitch on my bike so Id be pulling with my Durango.

Im not much of a SCI guy. I have read this a few times. I still cannot figure out where it is, where it needs to go, and where it will eventually wind up. Im sorry but I just dont know where these people live you mention.

I can only assume what that means, but I think it may have a bad word in it someting like "Read The F!#%*$% Manual ??? Just asking.
