I have been reading posts about tires since I had been a member. I have finally decided to make a comment about this. I have an 07 RSTD with the stock Bridgestones on it. I have 7500 miles on the bike with still plenty of treadlife left. I don't see a problem at all with these tires. Please enlighten me as to what advantages I am missing changing to these other tires. Sooner or later these will wear down and need to be replaced. Thank you in advance.

If the old Hard Drive is readable you could make it the second drive in the new pc and do an export of your addresses. You could also get any other data you might deem important.

But if everybody thinks who cares about the double yellow I'm just going or maybe why should I stop at the stop sign. Why have any laws at all? There will be many more and worse accidents than this and of course deaths. I don't think anybody wants that to happen to anyone they know or even their own family. Some things must be adhered to sorry no exceptions. Passing the double yellow here IS the whole reason for the accident. Look at the video again it happened because BOTH of them thought it was OK to break the law. I happen to like being in one piece and being alive there is absolutely no way I would have passed. That's me. I may speed where I feel it's warranted but at least I can see ahead of me when I do. Don't get me wrong I know things happen but this whole thing should have been avoided. I drive a bike with a heck of alot more respect in my elder age I'll tell you that. This is of course all my opinion no one has to agree with me. That's how I feel.

Personally I don't care what brake he hit DOUBLE YELLOW=Absolutely No Passing PERIOD. It's bad enough a stop sign has turned into a running stop and in most cases a yield. NO NO NO other way people MUST obey the law in those cases.

I just received a letter from Yahama Motor Corp. stating it has been decided that a defect which relates to motorcycle safety exist in all 2009-2011 and certain 2012 XVS95 {V-Star 950} and XVS95CT {V-Star 950 Tourer} model motorcycles as well as all 2007 XVS13 {V-Star 1300-Tourer} models Reason for Recall,,, " In Affected motorcycles, there may not be a proper seal between the fuel pipes for the fuel injectors and the fuel hose that connects them due to an improperly molded fuel hose. Over time, pressurized fuel can begin leaking at the hose connection points, which could result in a fire hazard. " CONTACT your dealer if you have any questions.

When should a carb tune be done? (after how many miles) or do you wait till something doesn't seem right? Is there a set schedule to do this?

Whenever I used the battery tenders it always burnt up the water in the battery. Now I use a dual station X2 xtreme charge and that problem does not occur anymore.

Just by the info you have received here you should become a full member. Believe me these guys are great. So much info that I got that I know I would never had heard of. Always good to know what can happen in advance. It's good to have some info in advance when going to your mechanic and can talk intelligently about whatever problem you are having. -
