  1. Looking for a Cassette Player for a Midnight RSV. Seeing you guys have replaced the Cassette Player with gauges, cd players and storage areas, figure there might be one out there for sale cheap. Really only need the door cause my Cassette Player door is scratched and it stares at me in the face while I am riding. Don't know if just the door can be replaced but willing to replace the whole unit if the door cannot be. Thanks Guys.
  2. Any Ultra Classic riders or if you have friends that may ride an Ultra Classic. Just posted in the classifieds some parts for a friend of mine. He just completed Trikeing his bike and looking to sell some of his leftover parts. Color of his bike is Wine Berry. Any questions please asked. Thanks
  3. Just finished reading the article in the Sept 09 issue of Rider. Pretty interesting a 10-year-old bike can tie for first with three newly engineered bikes. I knew there was a reason I loved this bike.
  4. Great idea, count me in.

  6. Going to the northern section of my great state Michigan and get some long awaited riding in. Weather forecast looks great and my wife and myself are ready to roll. Will be working on getting our body in shape for our Mt Rushmore trip. Everyone have a safe Holiday weekend.
  7. Drivers seat on Ebay, item number 130305053100.
  8. Tough choice between TOMMY, The Who or ABBEY ROAD, The Beatles.
  9. Works great on my wifes Honda VTX 1300
  10. Currently set on ebay search, 06 royal star venture kuryakyn iso footpegs. Current bid is $10.50.
  11. My wife rides a 06 Honda VTX 1300, all deck out for touring. She doesn't even think about getting on the back of my bike anymore. Went on four trips last year and plan on more this year.
  12. Sure wish that Global Warming would kick in and we could ride year around up here in Michigan. Below zero wind chills tonight and lots of snow, maybe next year "AL". Motorcycle show in 12 days, spring not to far away.
  13. Had a old J&M headsets laying around. I cut the wires going to the helmet speakers and installed a female stereo audio jack, which hangs outside the helmet. I plug in my earbuds and jam them into my ears. Hook up my MP3 player into my audio system on the bike. Turn the audio system to headsets (HS) and hear nothing but classic rock and the rumbling of my V4 coming out of my baffleless HD Road King pipes. Man the sound is great and it makes you wonder how great this bike would be without the CHIRP. The sound quality of the CB is a lot better too.
  14. Talk to Rick Butler, he does a seat mods on the stock seats. He might be able to help you out. you will find his ad in the classifieds
  15. A great ride which starts in Cross Village and ends in Harbor Springs. Take M-119 out of Cross Village for a scenic trip along Lake Michigan. The route which is call the Tunnel of Trees is full of twists and turns. Another great ride is north of the Mackinaw bridge. Take US-2 west once you cross the bridge for a scenic trip along Lake Michigan. If you get on the east side of the state another great ride is US-23 along the shores of Lake Huron. Take US-23 south out of Mackinaw City to Standish. Enjoy your trip and might see you up there, planning a Fall Color ride myself.
  16. Just turn 20,000 miles on my 2005 RSV and decided to check the brake pads. Front pads looked new but rear pads were gone. My question is, are the front and rear brake linked and no front brake being applied, or am I just using to much rear brake???

  22. Sold my GL1500 Honda Goldwing to buy my 2005 Midnight Royal Star Venture, because what many of you guys have stated "Looks let a Motorcycle". Everything about my RSV I like better than my old GL1500. Just would like to see Yamaha setup and get with the times and come out with a new RSV, with some upgrades we would all enjoy.
  23. Saw this on another Venture site. Honda Motor Company announced its plans for the new 2009 GL-2000 Goldwing The new 2009 Goldwing will replace the industry-leading GL-1800 Goldwing which went into production in 2001. 24. If you plan on during a lot of touring, you can't beat the Venture.
  25. Do Not Use a 1/4-20 wing nut on your seat. That seat stud is a 6mm metric thread. Do not mix SAE (standard) threads with Metric threads, you will be replacing your seat studs in the future. Use the OEM nut, a quick turn with a 10mm open end wrench will loosen the nut, then it can be removed by hand. How many times do you need to remove the seat??
