  1. Yup and they found some empty packets that show signs of having contained heroin.
  2. Last report I saw yesterday no one has been able to locate the driver and and he has not been answering efforts by his company's attempts to call him. The part that has always confused me is why people think life will come to an end if the don't text or return text's right then and there when everyone knows a life is more likely to end while texting than by failing to text.
  3. Now that it comes to mind every time I see the Puc I rack my brains over who he reminds me of. Yup Beetle Baily, that's it.
  4. Is there a reward for capturing the mugs in that mug shot.
  5. Are you say'n There was a time frame which allowed me to ask for money back ..... Freebird never disclosed that part of the deal. Man wished I had known now I'm stuck here for another year with the rest of you 's.....
  6. There was all this yakity yak noise riding on the winds coming out of Brantford way and it woke me up.
  7. What you doing up so early.....I thought you didn't get up until the Ice Cream stores opened their doors.

  9. Hey sleepy sorry we got split up I could not see your headlight all of a sudden so I slowed down as much as I dared. After a while I figured maybe you cut off to cross at fort Erie. I ended up crossing at the Queenston Lewiston bridge, No Idea why the GPS took me that way but I did not know the area well enough to contradict my Gps. Any way I am glad you at least made it home safe.
  10. Made it home as well but she was a very wet ride all the way to Niagara Falls. Shortest MD ever for me but not without some Major high points, That being all the great people I got to reconnect with as well as the new ones I met. As always thanks Don and Elaine for once again inviting us to your home.
  11. Oh you can still get them. We use them at work. https://products.techtirerepairs.com/tire-repair-materials/one-piece-stem-repairs/ http://www.rematiptop.com/products/automotive/plug-stem-repair.html
  12. Well you know Im gonna be there. BIG TOM would not know what to do without me, he would be depressed all weekend the Ladies would all be broken hearted and @StarFan would be wondering why he came all the way from viking land just find out I was a no show. So Guess I just gotta be there
  13. I think they would be a great item to have on the bike. as far as plugs being temp fix this type which I have used on both cars and trucks are a permanent fix thanks to the mushroom head. On the same note I Use a type of plug that also has proven itself to be a permanent fix as it vulcanizes itself right to the rubber. https://products.techtirerepairs.com/tire-repair-materials/tubeless-tire-inserts/permacure/ The salesman I buy my fleet supplies from demoed them by jamming them in the side wall of his front tire. by the time the tire was worn out he had 250 plugs in it. this is the plug I carry on my vehicles They do recommend them as temp now for on road vehicles but I have used as many as three to plug one big hole and never had one fail. On the other hand if you still prefer a patch I would recommend you still plug the tire then buff the inside and add the patch. the plug will seal the hole so moisture etc cannot get at the tires belting material. I have seen many tires were patch alone was used but sine the hole itself was not plugged moisture got in and corroded or rotted the belt material.
  14. The spacer has also been mounted on the wrong side of the caliper support. Check your rotor and see that it properly centered to the caliper.
  15. What year is your bike @GrahamLFCkeeper ? For some reason the Avons have been known to cause the bike to wag like a dogs tail on many of the 1st gen Ventures. I myself, as well as others on the site have experienced this which seems to increase with speed sometimes coming on sudden like and as soon as the tires were removed and replaced with something else like Dunlops in my case the sensation went away. I too experiment with different tire pressures but with no luck, So went back to the dealer and he was kind enough to exchange them for the Dunlops. I am currently running Dunlop E3's front and back and the bike handles and rides like a dream.
  16. Once worked on my car when I was a young apprentice on the midnight shift at liquid cargo lines. Someone yelled the boss was rolling into the yard. I jumped in the car not realizing the passenger door was not latched and hotfooted in reverse out the door. The unlatched Passenger door swung open on the way out and caught the door frame of the shop. The aftermath was not pretty.
  17. Guess that makes me Lucky #7 . Assuming all is well with the bike. Just pulled the bike of the work lift after doing a ton of maint to her. Monday mornings Road test should finalize my answer.
  18. This is true we have had several transport trucks come in on the hook due to lightning strikes. Fried every ECU and electronic device on the unit. Now no one got hurt but you have to keep in mind just because the lightning only damaged the trucks components, there is still the risk secondary injury or worse. What if this were to happen at just the wrong moment and the driver loses control of the truck? The secondary result could include other vehicles. Most drivers respond well to situations but that is no guarantee.
  19. @skydoc_17 Hey Earl any updates on your condition? I am really hoping to hear some positive news from your end as I am sure the rest of the membership is as well.
  20. Me to and there has to be something wrong with me You just produced an image in my mind of bongobobny in a tank top
  21. Considering you sit in it, wear a seat belt, it has a roll cage and you drive in it rather than ride it, I guess I would have to wonder what is the difference between it and a small convertible sports car. Many of which have full open cockpits with no roll bar at all.
  22. Normally it is the Nylon Roof inn for me at Pond Monster Shores, but I may consider motel this year. So I may book the red roof if I do since that seems to be were the majority are going.
  23. I once bid on a high end Fluke meter new in the box and won the bid. My bid was was $10.00. First notice stated that I won the bid, could not believe my luck $10.00 for a $600.00 meter. Next day I get a notice seller has pulled item.
