  1. Before you get too carried away spending money try this first. Pull apart all your plugs to the ignition system and clean all the contacts. I had the same situatuation and picked up a programable ignition unit. As I Started swapping them out I noticed the green tarnish on all my pins. I cleaned all with contact cleaner and tiny brass brushes and put it back together. The bike never ran so good. The new part never got installed and that was 4 years ago and its still running strong. I keep the new unit handy just in case but so far all has been running fantastically.
  2. Certainly is an intriguing vehicle. Hopefully by the time I am forced to give up two wheels there will be some affordable used ones around. And forgive me but when I say affordable I'm talking priced for a Dutchman.
  3. Mama I'm like the guy Puc talked to. My Wife used to come on some rides with me when I first got the venture, as long as I stayed off Major highways. Then after she had her hip replaced she just was not comfortable on the bike anymore and I miss the companionship from having her ride along. Specially when I see other couples enjoying each others company while going on motorcycle trips.
  4. And that is before he starts fumi'n
  5. Would these be fresh Twinkies or are you still picking them up at the salvage store?
  6. My son is in to restoring old wood working tools such as hand planes etc.. He uses and swears by this stuff he gets from Lee Valley Tools. https://www.leevalley.com/en-ca/shop/tools/workshop/tool-maintenance/58771-evapo-rust
  7. More pictures showing Plastifix/plastex repairs
  8. Check out Aircraft Spruce they carry it. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/contactus.php https://www.aircraftspruce.com/contactus.php see the before and after https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?142348-Bodywork-by-Glue-Bottle/page2&highlight=pastifix Like Marcarl I swear by it. My 89 was written off in 2007. I bought it back and restored it using Plastifix. No need for spot putty because were needed it sands down super smooth and you can keep adding until the surface is flawless. On the back side you can reinforce it with fiberglass drywall tape for extra strength. Tabs can be remade on the plastic parts with it as well. My left side fairing is actually two half fairings welded together with the plastifix and reinforced with the fiberglass tape and no one has ever been able to find were I joined it. When my bike fell off the lift table two years ago it actually held up from the fall.
  9. same here take care and hopefully see you soon.
  10. ARE YOU NUT'S Don't be giving that @Flyinfool any more ideas Probably why he bought the 3D printer so he can make artificial snow flakes that last all year:snow2:
  11. @Freebird NO IF'S AND'S OR BUTT'S GET TO THE DOCTOR. My father once fell hitting his against the dry wall (not as hard as concrete) about ten days later he started loosing his balance. Eventually we had to drag him into emergency, in Oakville. From there he was rushed by ambulance to Hamilton General were they discovered internal bleeding had been taking place in his head. They drilled six hole in his skull to relieve the pressure on his brain and told us he may not pull through which thankfully he did. As A biker you should be well aware of how internal head injures show no outward signs. Add to that a neck injury if your neck got kinked during the fall. Also as stated earlier do not overlook the possibility of a cardio event. GET CHECKED OUT NOW!!! DON'T MESS AROUND!!!
  12. What can I say my hugs can do that sometimes
  13. Now that you mentioned rematch Marcarl will be hugging every fence post, tree and telephone pole along the side of the road in an attempt to win the title. Hope he does not end up with too many splinters
  14. Well I do appreciate your continuing efforts on my behalf and Yes it was me that won the contest but there have been jealous forces at work trying to undermine my title, so I can see how you may be having difficulty in remembering.
  15. Sounds like a real close call. Had you not been within earshot and investigated, the outcome could have been very different. So glad you were able to get her medical attention in time to have her still with you. Scary how even the seemingly healthiest of us can still get caught by surprise when it comes to our health. Best wishes to you and your wife and hope life is quickly returning to as normal as possible for you.
  16. Could you repeat that .....I missed the part after " OK Mama "
  17. Generally I find that those who tend judge the most are the ones who often have character flaws themselves and are usually the last ones who should be judging anyone. But fear not I judge you as one of the nicest people I know.
  18. Hey how come I never got to see you in those.
  19. Were you carrying your whips strapped to your thigh or wrapped over your shoulder. She might have felt intimidated.
  20. should be called DJ {Dairy Jester} instead of DQ. I miss the old Tasty Freeze places at least they used real ice cream. Sad how big chains with poor quality always seems to replace good quality.
  21. Huh BTW, Yuzzz haz short stories
  22. I used to go on ice fishing trips with a few buddies. One of them snored so bad that you could even here him through the concrete block wall of adjoining cabins. Worst yet his breathing would stop entirely and he would make a gagging sound like someone stuffed a tennis ball down his throat. I started wondering if this was life threatening in the sense that something in his throat or maybe his tongue was moving in such a manor as to block off his air way. Out of curiosity I did some research and discovered that this was in fact a serious issue and that the risk of not waking up in the morning was far more common than you would imagine. Not trying to scare you here but if its as bad as all that then I would not take it lightly and do what you have to, to improve your situation.
  23. Some days it feels like it might be improving and other days just not so sure. Thanks for asking. Oddly enough it hurts the worst at night when I am laying down trying to sleep.
  24. I was quite happy with windows 95 to me it was the best of both worlds between 3.2 format and the modern windows format. I was also very fond of windows 2000 but after that I just feel it all became overkill.
